Bula dear friends!
I've been writing a lot of posts about past events, now's time for a bit of newer content: a blog post about our time on the island of Makogai in Fiji.
Iggy the dinghy has seam problems, we explore remnants of an old leper colony and also try and search for the infamous turtle farm.

Hello all,
This is the second part of the blog post of our time in New Zealand, this is a technical post, that talks about all of the projects we did on Pino.
We go into a lot of detail on the process, materials and costs of it all. Each project has a 'takeaway' bit at the end, in which we talk about what we learned, or what we wished we had done instead.
We wrote this complex text, in ho...

Hello all,
This is the first part of a blog entry that I've written of our time in New Zealand. We spent 8 months of our lives there, much has happened and it can't all be said in a single entry.
This text focuses on our visit to Pakatoa, a private island in NZ.
Read the story now, and tell us what you think.

Aboard Pino, we're always looking for low-power activities, playing music is one of these. Here's a small capsule on small instruments, and on building a Raspberry Pi toy piano.

We've always wanted to document our travels in writing, as well as in video, and since you've all expressed interest in it we decided to make it a regular thing!
We compiled a lot of notes over the years, of things that happened that are worth telling. Rekka is going through these notes, and making stories with them. All of these will be posted on our blog, the older stories will be back-dated to avoid con...

Entering a store, with the goal of purchasing kitchenware can be a dizzying experience. There are many choices, but few are worth your money and attention.
An ideal kitchen will have as few items as possible, filled with items that make you happy and that you chose with purpose. With this in mind, for a tool to be awarded a place in your home, it needs to be effective and versatile.

As you know, I have a story called Wiktopher, I started to write it while in Tahiti last year. Being there we had little distractions, but after arriving in New Zealand it was harder to continue, because of all of the work we did on Pino.
Now that we are back on the islands, I have the time and focus to write again, expect more updates on the story, alongside with updates 2018-07-05 04:28:41 +0000 UTC

After 8 months in NZ, we leave Opua and head northward towards Fiji. We had a slow passage, it took us 15 days (we even went backwards a little :<). It wasn't ideal, but at sea the wind governs all.
We had some wonderful times while becalmed on the water, but we also experienced some big weather (a good test for our new main and tiller!).
We are 1,200nm closer to Japan ლ ( ◕ ᗜ ◕ ) ლ
Thank you for watching!

We're making this available to you so you can give it a shot until its full release. It might be release...

Hey guys!
It's that time of the month again, time for a detailed write-up of what we have been working on.
All in all, we got Pino ready to leave New Zealand, all the while making changes to Dotgrid, Marabu, Wiktopher and Marabu.
Dotgrid (vector line tool)
Implemented radial symmetry, made the app faster for Raspberry Pi, improved general UX and implemented option to quickly export icons.

When living on the water, your home is always in motion, swaying with the currents and winds. Knowing that your vessel is not permanently tethered to the earth is a good feeling, it means you can go anywhere.
We've always had difficulty taking public transportation, we don't have a driver's license either. Our primary mode of transport has always been a bicycle, it's quiet, and we're free to move ourselves around wherever, and whenever we want. Traveling by sailboat, is taking...
