Dragon Witch (XL)

I started this in 2013 no less, according to the file info, and never got to finish it until now. It changed over time. I actually worked on it more than once and even though the lady is still about in the same place, she changed a lot. The dragon entered the picture many years after, and he changed considerably as well.
This March Monstah Month was a good incentive to pick it up once more and really make it work. It does now, I think. 9 years later. Saving stuff that doesn't work at first...

I finished this cartoon and only then realised I forgot the not so safe version entirely. It doesn't need one really, but, to stay consistent here, I've started one anyway now. I'll let you know when I've added it. Weird how things go sometimes. And that's what she said too, actually. 😁

I'll try any theme I like, again and  again, until I get that perfect image from my mind onto the digital canvas (or any canvas for that matter).

I came close with this theme, the faun and the female, at times, but luckily it never quite made it to absolute perfect. I say luckily, because I would totally miss drawing scenes like this. I might find an excuse doing these, even if I'd get one to perfection. I might very well find a reason. Might not even be a solid reason 😁 Until t...

I am basically a comic artist, so I am interested in expressions mostly. That's why I do the beauty and the beast theme a lot. It warrants different expressions, fear, weirdness and shock that you can't put in regular scenes but do well in story telling images.
Well, you could of course, but it would so look terribly out of place that I would not care for it. This March Monstah Month helps to get into different creatures as well. When I do the incidental Monster, I go to werewolf or vampir...

I initially wanted it to be just decorative but then the story came into mind and this came of it.

Alien (XL)

Not a little grey man, more an Alien inspired thing this time. Loosely though. i don't think it would add anything if I'd actually would redraw that Alien. This might be what writers thought happened for that weird Alien Resurrection movie (the design of that hybrid alien was pretty far below par if you ask me). But I don't think the Alien character would've bothered at all. This one seems to be more interested. It may not even be an alien and just a colleague in a scary space suit? Who knows...

Didn't get much response on my suggestion to make March "Monstah Month" so I won't do a Monster Marathon, but here's one anyway. He got away from me. That's what you get reading the wrong stories, as you may know by now when you've been here longer 😁
I can't promise this will be the only one this month either. If you've been here longer you may know that too 😁
