Started this as a regular pinup and then thought, because of her expression, I could turn it into a Halloween themed painting as well. Working digitally has big advantages. The extra layers for the background and Red's little cape were easy to add. However, as a more conventional pinup it works pretty well too so I didn't want to overwrite that. I'll just keep both and post them together so that you can see for yourself. Of course, this is the censored version (also a separate layer) as it wi...

Well, it was more than just rainy yesterday. It was truly pouring all day, and when I walked my dog it came to mind that one should always get a dog big enough to walk even in torrential rain. :) I should do a seasonal pinup calendar shouldn't I? I have some sketches in that theme already. I may well get a calendar together. For the time being though I'll just make these when I get inspired. Who knows where it ends up eventually :) So much to do, so little time to do them. <...

Well, this is what happens in the library at night when everybody else has left already. There're still some books that need to be put back in their place to not upset the system. And why not look stunning while taking care of that.
Nothing to do with Halloween although... I can imagine the place being haunted. But I wouldn't want to overdo the Halloween theme. Or should I?

If you ask me, this is much much better than the previous rollerblading Pirate I posted. Somehow it worked out well, even though I didn't make an official sketch first. I started with rough color shapes and then it all just came together, almost by itself. This is a much better visualisation of what I saw in real life, many many years ago (see previous version for that story). Obviously it made an impression as this is the third version already of it.
This is how it should've been painted...

Lets start the month of October of with a little Ghost story. This old rom com (or was it drama?) movie "Ghost", with Demi Moore, would've been so much more interesting like this.
I didn't try to portray Demi, just did the general hair cut, really, but she still looks like her a bit, doesn't she?

Just before going into Halloween mode, which is a theme I usually have lots of fun with, I just had to do another African Warrior. That's a recurring theme as well. I did get inspired by a model on Instagram ( https://www.instagram.com/_jordannedevoe/ ) but I didn't do a true portrait. There's probably still some likeness, but that happens when someone specific sparks the inspiration. She's really awesome, beaut...

What can I say that I haven't said before? I like this type of image. The art coming to life while painting it is something artists like me probably all aim to achieve, but know that we never will. It is pretty interesting to work on it though.

Back when I was inline skating myself on an almost daily basis, on an actual track close by, I got inspired by this woman doing the laps in the opposite direction, in an outfit similar to this. If you're in California you might have gotten used to sights like this but in these parts she was a rare visual treat. After I met her the 4th or 5th lap I got myself to ask her to model for me. Even though she was flattered and interested, she already indicated right there that her family would be com...

It is a challenge to find a secluded nice looking beach area without people, or only polite people without smart phones, isn't it? One has to either get up in the very early hours when it's still chilly or travel far for destinations that are off the beaten trails. Otherwise, you'll get this for sure. It makes for a funny picture but it isn't as funny when you find yourself in the situation, either as a photographer or as a model. On the upside; the audience will fondly remember that day they...

I should be working on Halloween themed stuff, shouldn't I? And I am. But it doesn't go well yet. How many witches on a broom can one paint? Well, quite a lot. Don't worry, Halloween might need to get closer, for me to do a good one. I do have an Oktoberfest Pinup almost ready though. I've never been to one although Germany is really next door, but I like the voluptuous beauties with the big beer glasses :) Just you wait and see.
Anyway, if your girlfriend starts showing up like ...

I am working on a "beach shoot" scene (sketch already posted for higher Tiers) and did a preliminary study of the main character's pose. Just to see if it would look right. It kinda did so I could've just moved on to the beach scene, but it was inevitable that I would render the study as well. You'll see when the beach scene is done. Almost the same pose. Almost. And it's not exactly the same woman either because in that case I could've just used this one again. I don't like to do that. ...

If you know me for longer you may have seen the Kristina Queen of Vampires trilogy. An explicit erotic vampire story. Loved making that. I still like vampires as they are kinda sexy when they're not turning you. Or even then, when you're a vampire fan :)
So, I still paint vampire ladies and even males be it not as often. I like the atmosphere of brooding sensuality and sexuality, which is probably the reason why the myth was born in the first place. It seems to originate in the fe...

Yes, also something I've done often. Latest production is the Heavy Rock CD titled "In Control" by Hardland (Dutch Band with two of my friends who brought me this today). Good and solid music with a lot of variation and diversity. Nice to see my work on it.

I posted the sketch earlier for higher Tiers and this became of it. :)
I've also posted a sketch of a gangster surrounded by beauty by the way, but that one I'll not render probably. It would somehow insinuate it to be sexy or cool and it's neither. It was just a random idea after watching some gangster movie. It's more like a beauty and the beast thing but without any fantasy element. In hindsight it's just not where I would want to go with my art. I like it sexy, risky and naughty. B...

Often one image leads to the next. When I made the Panther warrior picture I thought of this, sketched it and put it away for later. I might not like the idea after some time would have passed. But I had to give it a serious go anyway when I came across it again.
If you open photoshop without a document open it shows the things (sketches and paintings) you did recently and it helps to keep things in mind for a while. I managed to get to rendering it before it would be pushed out o...

I intended this to be a post later on, but I am very happy with it, and I don’t want to wait.
I sketched it quickly to keep the idea on record, expecting it to go nowhere, but as it turned out, I had to paint it right away and it turned out how I wanted it too.
A very personal note: It’s something along the lines of art coming to life but it visualises what I intended to do for as long as I’m doing this type of art, but, by the looks of things, most likely won’t get a chan...

This took me a while. Sketch was posted last month for higher Tiers, but it took some time to actually paint it because there's so much going on. However, here it is at last :)
So much better in the less dressed version but as you know, that's not publishable for the public here and even less on the other main platforms.

I get way too many requests from women all over the world, that could be models but rather stay safe and passive on their couch and have someone like me do the artistic thing from random sefies and around-the-house-snapshots. I used this particular image to vent my feelings about that, on Instagram. Sometimes it irritates me more.
Among the 3,5 billion women in the world, probably half of them might well qualify to be models for my art, if they'd get seriously into it, but how...

Here's something I did in sketch very recently when, again, someone claimed to have the wish to become an actual model for me (I mean live in my studio, not remotely by photos as that's not really modeling, right?) but most likely never intended to. She probably was just playing around with the idea in her mind. That happens a lot. For every real model I ever worked with there were probably about 30 like this. I am quicker to distinguish the 'posers' from the real models as I learned to ask t...

This one is about shape and lines and as always, about expression as well.
Much harder than it looks actually and there are some similar ones in my wip folder that won't make it just because of the little things, that I just don't seem to get to work as well as I was aiming for. This one's pretty nice though, if you ask me.

I don't do these kind of paintings a lot but I do like them when they get where I want them to. They seem simple but they aren't. The pure frontal can be exciting but can be most uninteresting when there's just a little thing off in pose or poise. I think this one is quite right. With the shirt on or off (the latter only patrons get to see I'm sorry to say).
I especially like that the window is represented by the boundaries of the entire picture and isn't really visibly in it. I would l...

I really like to do this type of picture as you may have noticed and I often try to do the basic idea differently but still in the realm of art coming to life. Just because the notion of dimensions merging and interacting is an inspiring one for me.
It may be wishful thinking that art brings positivity and energy to regular life all around us, but it does for me at the very least.
Without all the imagination, fantasy, going into it, whatever the style or way of execution, life would n...

I thought about keeping it behind closed doors altogether but I like to make it known to as many ppl possible that this will be a Patreon exclusive. Keeping the idea a secret completely would not help the project much. So, here's the safe for work version that will show up elsewhere too.
I got the idea to do a spoof comic inspired by the old Barbarella movie from 1968. Not a remake, as that probably would not work in this day and age, but an adventurous erotic quest of a beautiful...

Yes, another sketch (posted earlier) got painted.
Selfies are too one sided for me to like them much, even though some manage to do more with them than the usual portraits and cleavage shots. However, I like to paint beauty taking selfies for some reason. Probably because it is a contemporary way of expressing oneself and you see it a lot all over the web. I'll always prefer the shots taken by good and respectful photographers though. There's more depth, tension, character and con...

I hate to admit, but this is a failed portrait of a very intriguing actress (Anna Drijver) from the Netherlands. Tried to paint her before, usually when I saw something she was in, and never quite got it right. Yet. Close, but not really her.
The problem with actors is that most pics you find on Google are these unimaginative smily red carpet shots or just screenshots that already have the dramatic lighting I would like it not to have. Rarely studies that would help an artist in any way. ...

Always trying to paint the ultimate warrior but when I would achieve that, why paint more of them? So, I'm hoping I'm not there just yet. Actually the same applies to all that I paint. Whenever I would do the ultimate or perfect anything I could stop painting it, couldn't I?
I would need a whole different set of subjects. I'm hoping it won't come to that any time soon. I love my subjects :) Nonetheless; she's pretty close if you ask me. Strong, intense, beautiful...What more can one...

Of course this is the sfw version. It's better and more to the point in nsfw. But I do like that the censoring cloth is like the table cloth. It adds to the story really. Well, in my perspective at least. However, I like the unclothed one best as the curves and lines turned out great.
