Questlog update and 0.9 plans

Looks like critical bugs are fixed now. We still have to fix some minor stuff, we'll fix them soon. We also added the last, but still crucial part of 0.8:

We updated the questlog and added hints. In the very beginning of the game it helps to unlock events with Nick by explaining the requirements like who to talk with, etc. But after Nick starts coming over to Julia on a regular basis, instead of telling next step, questlog tracks progress of seen unique events.

Bugfixes (updated)

This time we had a couple of critical bugs:

• Entering Julia's room was impossible if the door was slightly ajar.
• There was a bug when during sunbathing Julia was exiting the minipool to tan again. If you have this problem, you need to skip to the next day. The problem should go away the next day.
• Fixed the bug of repeating dialog with Julia about Nick. This bug was blocking progress in midnight events with Julia and Nick, which in turn was blocking progress in shower eve...

I keep telling you guys how Kate is our top priority, but every time I post an image with Alex you ask if we're abandoning Kate. We're not. We haven't even started integrating Alex into the code, graphics are ready, texts are being translated, but the code isn't ready yet. Adding enough Alex events to catch up with Kate is going to take months. Some of his events will be identical to Kate's, some will have his own spin of them. But again, Kate is the number one priority.

New hosting (update)

Today we have two news for you. The first one is not great. We forgot to release 0.7 for $10 Patrons yesterday. We're really sorry and we'll release 0.8 for $10 Patrons one day earlier, on November 15th (if we don't forget, that is. Kidding).

Improving the interface

Right now we're working on making characters' behavior less predictable, which should add variety to gameplay. But it also has an unfortunate side effect of players not knowing where to look for characters. I'm sure you had a situation where you couldn't find, say, Julia and had to look all over the house to find whether she's in her room, the bathroom of the backyard.

We decided to fix this problem with a tried and true solution. Now you'll be able to see each character above location buttons...

Today I want to tell more about Alex, our new male playable character. First of all, two playable characters doesn't mean double development time. We were working on new images and texts for quite some time now. And many basic mechanics are unisex. As I already mentioned before, there are plenty of game elements shared between either character. Today is October the 5th, which means it's time to release 0.7 for our $40 Patrons. This was our hardest month yet. It feels like every new version is more complicated than the last one because we keep trying to make as much as possible. That's also the reason why we kept working on 0.6 for 10 days after release. We haven't had any news for some time, but we're still working as hard as always. All this days we were working on adding content we planned in 0.6 and we'll add it in the next couple of days.
