Glamour 0.8
Added 2018-11-05 15:35:29 +0000 UTCIt's the 5th, so it's time to release 0.8 for our $40 Patrons. This time we did almost everything we planned. We still need to update questlog, more on that later.
Let's skip the pleasantries and go right to 0.8 changelog:
Alex
Implementing a new playable character is a lot of work and we had many unforeseen surprises. Thankfully, we've managed to fix most of them. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, Alex still can't do plenty of functionality Kate already has (shower, bath, pool, sunbed, meeting classmates, etc.).
Adapting Alex's texts is also a work in progress and you might stumble upon Kate's lines. We're going to keep working on Alex in the future and work out the kinks.
Intro
We added unique intro for Alex. Since Alex wasn't homeschooled, he's not shy like Kate and you'll be able to see the difference in his personality from very first events with him. Along with intro, Alex also has a modified first two college days.
After all the technical stuff we had to do, we didn't really have a lot of time to add a lot of unique content for Alex. All he currently has is intro and first two college days. If you want to see more, you might want to wait for a future version before you start a new game as Alex.
Reworking old text
Like I previously mentioned in the earlier post, we reworked Kate's dialogs to remove explicit mentions of... something. Going through old text for that and adapting it for Alex was a lot of work and we probably missed something in a couple places. In the future we're going to go over the texts again to smooth over rough patches.
Kate
Just because implementing Alex was a lot of work doesn't mean we didn't do anything for Kate. On the contrary, we spent most of the time adding new content for her. This time we don't have as much dialogs as in previous versions, but there is a lot more new events. There are three categories: bathroom, bedroom and midnight kitchen events.
Bathroom
There are several series of events in the bathroom. In 0.7 you had to peek to start new events while the bathroom was occupied. This time events start when Kate is the one taking a shower or a bath and someone come is (Julia, Nick or both of them).
Each situation (Kate in the shower or Kate in the bathtub) has its own series of events for every person who peeks or walks into the bathroom. There are several dozens unique events. In the next couple of days we'll add a questlog to keep track of the whole thing.
In the end you'll have a nice surprise with Julia in the shower.
Bedroom
After some progress (in the series of midnight events) Kate will be able to see new events with Julia and Nick. First there's going to be a series of events in particular order and then there will be random regular events.
Midnight events
You'll see them after clicking on "sleep until morning" if you already saw all events from 0.7 with Julia and Nick. This series of events also has amusing dialogs with Julia and Nick. It will also affect your progress in other series of events.
TV and couch
We switched things up and you don't have to click on the couch first when you want to watch TV. Now all you have to do is either click on TV or on the TV button in the living room.
Also, Kate will refuse to sleep/rest if she's not tired. We also improved images with resting/sleeping Kate. In the future we'll work on the sleeping event. You'll be able so choose your sleepwear, and there will be actions and events depending on Kate's arousal.
NPC behavior
As I've mentioned before, NPC behavior is more varied and complicated now. Also now you can see Julia's and Nick's locations in the house as icons above room buttons.
Miscellaneous
We fixed a lot of bugs like skipping time when you're late for class and many others. Probably added a bunch of new ones, too.
Now peeking and watching erotica on TV increases open-mindedness. Sometimes even for Julia. We haven't implemented it in all events yet, but even now maxing out this parameter to the cap shouldn't be too hard.
As always, your client will update to version 0.8 automatically.
Automatic updates should work as usual, but if you want you can download a build with all images from here
0.8 is available on 5th for $40 Patrons, on 12th for $20 Patrons, on 15th for $10 Patrons, on 19th for $5 Patrons and two months from now for everyone else.

But when I go to backyard to tan with Julia, I can't see her and I can't join her on the lounger. Also some buttons on the scene Backyard stop to work correctly and they don't respond on click. I am just giving feedback ;) Very nice work btw.

One less thing for me to moan and whine about. :) Next on my list.: 1) Wait button for city map. 2) Marking maximum skill on communication and flirting (as it was possible for open-mindedness, relation, romantic relationship). 3) Use different color for high academic skills and maximum marked skills because it can be confusing for new players. That's all for now.

2018-11-05 19:52:33 +0000 UTCУ меня после обновления появился глюк! Значок показывает что Юля на заднем дворе, но когда туда заходишь её там нет. Вернее она там не отображается. Ни в бассейне ни на шезлонге. Думал если кликнуть на любой из этих объектов, то она появится, но нет игра просто виснет.

I am so anxious to see more developments at school and with friends. Also the neighbor and at work and Kate's budding massage and photography jobs. Will the save games for playing as Alex be separated out?
