She rolled out from the tracks, but her legs were run over and crushed, or literally cut off by the wheels. Her friends rushed to rescue. One of the big boys has some knowledge of first aid. He managed to stop the bleeding. Carmen was in extreme pain and faint soon after.

It was the very first time she had a such chance to see and feel an amputee’s stump. She touched, rubbed and squeezed it. She felt the muscle and the bone underneath the soft skin. She feels the muscle movement. She was amazed that not any part of her own body has such feelings. She wishes she can have one stump for herself.

I always fascinated with the moment of the stump and the prosthetic leg socket engage and disengage. In other words, the best moment of putting on and taking off a prosthetic leg. This was initially for a commission of a SAK character . My client when chosen an alternative pose, but I like this view and pose. So I came out with this piece. Have a wonderful weekend!
