This year I struggled. I was recovering from that incident last year and finding my stride with my art and dealing with that paranoia. A lot of people who were around when I first joined eventually left so the activity was a little slow, and I wasn't creating as much art as the previous years.

One of the few things I brought from Branka's adventure on tumblr was her kid drawings she made. I was very glad they were a hit with the forum members. There used to be a lot of requests to see their characters in Branka's style and it was fun and surprisingly challenging to keep that goofy and simplified look! Hey all just wanted to give a heads up on my lack of posting. Last weekend I went to Planet Comic Con with a group of friends, and spent this week resting after catching the flu. I have a hard time visualizing certain things and when done traditionally it can get tiring drawing one thing over and over. So here is some rough digital pieces to help figure out if I should change Nomi and Kaori's colors. Their original hair color was strawberry blonde, maybe it needs more strawberry! A second idea I played with in the past was giving them a brown/auburn hair color. Should I change their look or stick with the OG?

Looking back on my old Naruto and Horses of the Sand stuff, I used to draw and write a friendship between Sham and Gaara. Gaara's character development in Naruto was one of my favorites but in canon and filler it was never elaborated on too much. What's funny is this friendship was kind of just an accident. I was RP chatting with friends as my character Keiji, who ends up befriending Gaara and his siblings, and because he had horse companions that kinda just became a thing.

I found a way to play my old flash animation files again and luckily saved some of my told templates. My new laptop can't use the flash program anymore so I'm redoing some of these via photoshop. This is a tweaked version of an old horse animation I did based off someone else's template. Their base and account is gone so all I have is the one I made with a few changes I didn't like from my old version.

I haven't had much time to do anything since November. A few pieces here and there, but after my Spirit Halloween challenge I figured it was a good time as any to take a break.
