Small update today, but I'm making progress on the Fujiko illustration! Making variations now, but I figure crops are fun and I could share a bit of a preview while at it~

Bride of En characters~

My schedule got a bit turned around this past week, so I've had to juggle and rearrange my task list a little bit, and there's a slight delay on the Fujiko content. I'll have more of that to show by next week!

The results were incredibly close this time, and I might show a collection of Baiken and Morrigan sketches later as well, but for now here are the Fujiko drawings I'm considering for this months' illustration.

I have a few I'm leaning towards, but I'd love to hear which ones stand out to you! I often factor that in the decision making process as well.

Metroid: 35th Anniversary + Metroid Dread sketches~

Some WIPs/ sketches in conjunction with the Metroid Dread info + the bikini armor theme of last month, I had some sketches of the Dread Suit as bikini armor to match the previous Power Suit illustrations. Wasn't able to finish it for that month specifically, but I figure I could share the sketches for the 35th Anniversary + Dread news from today.

Plus, some extra Samus images from throughout the years I figure sharing as well~

Naga the Serpent and the DQ3 Warrior tied for second place, but the Amazon from Dragon's Crown secured a solid first place!

I have some sketches of her from before, of which I compiled here. Ironically, I also have some sketches of the last place entry, Valis / Yuuko Asou.

Been pretty hyped about all this Metal Slug content lately. Of course, ended up drawing Fio for a bunch of it, but the Metal Slug itself is a fun cute thing too haha. Plus, I've been thinking about how much I love Metal Slug 3. The last image in this set of the final battle against Rootmars is one I'd hope to complete eventually as well.

Went ahead with this crossover vs. Iroha image for the illustration. Hoping to see Baiken in Samurai Shodown, so this image is relevant haha. Otherwise, I guess it's a dream match!

I'll prepare the PSD and other  Visionary tier materials next, but I wanted to make sure to post the illustration first, at least.

Baiken sketches!

Here are the Baiken sketches! She's fun to draw, albeit a bit complicated with all of the drapery and whatnot. I wanted to try to capture her toughness and badassery in some of these as well.

I also included some Giovanna drawings, since she tied in the poll.

Plus, there are a couple of Baiken vs. Iroha, because reasons. Hoping Baiken's the GG crossover character in Samurai Shodown. Otherwise, fanart anyway haha.

I'm working on the Baiken sketches, and should have more to show of that soon!

In the meantime, E3 got me a bit sidetracked, especially the Nintendo Direct hype. Of course, I'm specifically referring to the Metroid Dread announcement. It just snuck up, hidden under the double cloak of urban myth vaporware and the shadow of Metroid Prime 4 haha. Seeing the gameplay in the Treehouse videos was pretty promising too.

Baiken wins the illustration poll~

Baiken and Giovanna tied for first place! 

For the sake of a definitive decision, I'm declaring Baiken the winner! 

I'll see if I can fit in some Giovanna sketches too ( and/ or them vs. each other? I'll try sketching out a few things in general.)

In addition to announcing the winner of the poll, I figure it might be kind of interesting to see some Guilty Gear fanart from the past. Some of these are from the ancient past of 2006~7ish you can see various styles here...

Guilty Gear Strive Countdown Celebration Illustration~!

To commemorate the upcoming release of Guilty Gear Strive, I was invited to participate in making one of the countdown guest illustrations. I was thrilled to be a part of the process and am excited to see how the game turns out.
