Based on the input, I'll be going with thumbnail 3. Here's what I have so far, poking away at it, checking that the perspective on the mech was at least passable (the handset is not fully connected, I figure it'd look a bit more dynamic if it was slightly off the housing)
Also, while currently not used, did some rough outline of the bg for this image as well- they are hanging out.. in a hangar !

I know that Tifa didn't win the poll last time, but I also feel kinda bad that I don't post as much Observer tier content- and I ended up taking one of the sketches from the sketch batch and turning it into a rough illustration/colored sketch.

I figure having the image posted here will help highlight it, but here's another process video, this time of the Ivy Valentine pic I did for Valentine's day earlier this year. I usually do some final touchups in Photoshop after, but it's relatively minor (stuff like making the glowing parts of the sword glow more, and things like that)
It's kind of funny seeing this in review, I had the basic idea of what I wanted to go for, but to get the pose right took a lot of hacking away at it lol...

A small update today, kind of did a two-birds-in-one-stone approach when drawing this. This was from my vehicle drawing class from last month, but also kind of wanted to use it as an opportunity to try drawing out something based on a Tomcar that I've always wanted for Fallout and Blackbody to eventually ride. I didn't draw them in the vehicle this time around for the sake of the assignment, which was to draw an off-road vehicle with an emphasis on the suspension.

Here are some Mecha robot designs from a class I took last semester at Concept Design Academy. Kind of clunky and some are pretty bad, but it's fun to just try to iterate a bunch of weird shapes and different designs for robots and vehicles.
