Update - next LWL chapter this Sat

Sorry, work dumped a big pile of gunk on me this week. The next chapter of the lady wot lunched will be posted on Sat. I just haven't had time to format it yet.

It'll be a quite short chapter, but setting deadlines has worked quite well with pics, so after that I'm going to aim to post one shorter chapter every other week.

Yesterday, I finally had the breakthrough I needed with the next chapter of The lady wot lunched... It's strange how a small change can clear a massive mental blockage. I understand now how the story develops and reaches the conclusion (or at least the conclusion ...

Amelia Overexposed (a pic that didn't quite work!)

Just thought I'd share this! It was my first attempt at a follow-up picture to Amelia Prime. I spent hours and hours on it, but just couldn't get it looking right - the hair ended up even more overexposed than Amelia, and I faffed around with the reflection to the point where I couldn't seem to make the eyes look right - they went a bit panda. And if I've learnt anything in Photoshop it's that if the eyes are wrong...

Hey all!

Minor family emergency popped up this week - emergency in the sense that it needed to be dealt with yesterday and today, but thankfully minor in the sense that it that everyone will be okay. Unfortunately it means I won't be able to get a post out this week before going on holiday tomorrow morning (first time abroad since Covid!🏝️).

Amelia Prime

Here she is - Amelia near the start of her first term at university. Not quite as slender as in her swimming days at school, but still maintaining those shapely curves, though genetics more than anything else.

Evening all. Sorry, been working on a couple of pics this past week and also TLWL, but didn't managed to get anything quite finished.

Some people marry for love. Others marry for looks. Still others marry for money, security or fame.

Kari married Tim for salted-caramel cheesecake.

In her defence, there were other reasons. Chocolate mousse domes with pistachio nougatine, for one. Dom Perignon infused truffles dipped in chocolate ganache. Ricotta-cream puffs, glazed cannolis, fudge brownies, homemade donuts and pretty much every soft sponge, sticky pastry, trifle, tart, pie and crumble to flow - with wafts of melt...

I was going to call this a "before" picture of Kari and Tim, but perhaps "between" is more accurate. Three years dating a baker have led to a mild softening of our busty tennis-loving investment banker's middle - a comfy little pudding paunch that's starting to push over her bikini bottoms. Nothing to worry about, naturally - just a touch of wedding weight. And of course, a honeymoon is no time to be counting calories.

Meanwhile, Tim still harbours hope that one day his wife look at him...

Quick Update!

Happy March, everyone!

LWL snippet coming this weekend. I know, know... I missed the Feb deadline. I apologise. But I'm glad I set it. The idea was that setting a tough deadline would force me to spend more time on the story and rediscover my passion for it. And it worked! I'm finally making good progress, and really enjoying writing it again, where previously I'd felt as stuck as Gemma in a pipe after a big pudding.

There should also a pic this weekend, or just after. 🙂

💘 Holly's Valentine's Decade (sequence pic 4/4)

The average Englishwoman eats 11kg of chocolate 🍫 per year - which is funny, because that's roughly the amount of weight Holly has gained per year since she married David!

I guess that snacky, sedentary lifestyle really starts to kick in when you hit thirty.

Ah well, with Creme Eggs back on the shelves, there's not much point in thinking about diets until after Easter. 🐇
