Friday Doodles: The Little MerHollow

Today's doodle comes in three color options cuz I couldn't decide which one I liked best! Lots of people have asked, "will the cast ever do a mermaid story?" We may see a merstory and mercast in the future...or we may not. Season 1 is already set, so it would have to be a future thing for season 2. We'll see how it shakes out!

This is how I usually do panels, with a rough version of the background placed first, then the opacity turned down so i can draw on top of it. Afterward, the line art is colored and shaded and the background turned back up and finished to match it. :)

Poster Art Preview!

Working right now on some stuff for the future merch shop, including a cute poster design :)

I'm REALLLLLLY bad at coloring, outside of just flat colors. I've always been terrible at it. But I try really hard to keepi practicing and watch tutorials ans get better! I think I'm improving bit by bit, but it's slow going. Anyway this will be a wider poster, I just zoomed in on the bit I'd actually been coloring so far :)

Webtoon Creation: Working With a Flats Artist

Because my new series Cinderella Boy is so much more work than Stagtown, I did have to take on an assistant, who is located overseas and does my flats. This means she's responsible for coloring all the flat colors for the characters, and then I go back in and add the patterns, shading, light effects, highlights on hair and fabric, etc. I am glad she's in charge of all those dumb stripes on the villain's purple shirt, those drive me insane. :D

So often when I'm working long hours at home on my webtoon, I end up doodling on the panel art and sending it as a meme to some of my friends on Discord. How a Webtoon Is Made (Stagtown Edition)

Thank you everyone for your patience while I finished up the last of a frankly stunning amount of medical tests and procedures, the sheer number of which I'm starting to suspect is directly connected to how many bribes my doctor takes from specialists that are outside my insurance's Tier 1 group.
