Oh yeah, we're back in business, everyone! I ain't ready for this series, it's made me cry multiple times & I don't think I have enough tissues... this story wasn't nearly as painful as what Emma went through, but I do appreciate how "low stakes" it felt & how everything resolved. I am so happy nothing truly nefarious was going on!

Okay, yeah, I'm sold. I'll admit, I had doubts about this adaptation & the production staff just casually blew them all away... the staff COOKED & I couldn't be happier! I want to believe this will turn out good but the omitted scenes make me worried about what else Studio Deen might do with this adaptation... hopefully, they're just rearranging events to improve the story flow & plan to add them back in here soon. Still very happy about it's R Rating, the gore & bloodshed are integral to the story & I'd hate to see it annoyingly censored like so many other anime.

THE JOURNEY BEGINS & I'M NOT READY!
I won't say much, as my reaction speaks volumes about how passionate & attached I am to this series, but the emotions were real... I couldn't stop myself from tearing up multiple times.
I got (very) high hopes for this remake, so please don't disappoint us, Studio Passione... adapt the full story with as many seasons as it'll take, cause we're all desperate to see the story continue past the original anime!

Did I go into this series with the wrong mindset/impression? Or are my concerns about the exposition & direction valid? I'll admit, I'm worried the production might meltdown as the season progresses, given what's gone down with A-1 Pictures in recent years, but what they've delivered has been straight QUALITY! Seriously, the sakuga from the opening fight scene was CRISP AS FUCK, the visual effects were on point, and I do appreciate the lack of censorship towards blood/gore.

Honestly, Netflix & Studio Trigger straight COOKED, what an absolutely BANGER of a start... the music, the atmosphere, the comedy, and even the "food porn" are all top notch. Still can't believe how much detail has been put into this dungeon, its monsters, and the various ecosystems within... always love it when series go this in depth!
