CAN HE SOLO GOKU THOUGH? AN ELDRITCH HORROR MC?!
I'll admit, I don't have high expectations, but I do have a silver of hope this will turn out "above average," if not a "good" watch. So far, it was a decent start, definitely WAY more enjoyable than its manga counterpart, but that's not a high hurdle to clear... the music's easily the most praiseworthy aspect, it's surprisingly good for such a mediocre series.
Only time will tell if this will be worth be my time & effort or not...

DIABETIC LEVELS OF SWEET!!!
I'm sold already, don't need the usual "3~5 episode rule," this premiere exceeded all my expectations & damn near killed me with its comedy... I need more ASAP! EMT Squared deserves way more credit & praise than I give them, the expressiveness of the characters was unexpected but very appreciated.
I doubt everyone will view this series as highly as I do, but I am isekai trash & I can relate HEAVILY to the MC's desire to pet everything fluffy...

Not my favorite premiere from the franchise but Olrox vs Julia was insane... that twist makes so much sense in hindsight, considering what happened during Season 4 of OG Castlevania! I do need more time with Richter's VA, not sold on him yet, but it's hard to surpass Trevor's VA.

THE KISS OF DEATH... REST IN PEACE, YOU'LL BE MISSED!
I got my wish, we dealt with the infected & it was incredible. I was not prepared for the tension built up, it nearly gave me a heart attack, but it felt straight out of a video game as we maneuvered around the Clickers. I love seeing how dangerous the world's gotten over 20 years & how much the infected have evolved, even if it's genuinely terrifying to see firsthand.

Bunny Girl might just be Best Girl, she's peak character design with that ironic outfit choice, and I'll die on this hill if I need to... but only after I've seen her talk more about Ryota's "carrot" though! 😂

I'm sold, this was undeniably entertaining, even the despite its potential rushing... but I know not everyone will agree with me, the fast pacing may turn away some who wanted to spend more time on Earnest's conflict, which I do understand but still feel this was done well enough to avoid overstaying its welcome.

THE WORST PREMIERE OF SUMMER 2023...
Only the opening song's visuals were worth my time, they do have me excited for what'll happen this season, but this episode was genuinely underwhelming and almost entirely unnecessary. Most scenes don't have any weight, you could skip several minutes & not miss anything important, and that's not a good sign. Hopefully it'll improve going forward, cause I do want my passion for this series to be reignited after the damage Season 2 did to it.

I'll give it the usual "3~5 episode" evaluation, hopefully it'll improve & catch its stride by then... cause so little stuff happened, I can't form a proper opinion on the series just yet. I will say, the series knew how to make attractive women, cause Lumina & Monika exist, plus we'll eventually meet a Bunny Girl Receptionist, which might be my main motivation to watch more.
