PvP Update and Ideas

While working on this latest update, and thinking about AeonDK's appreciation for the previous pinfalls, I've come up with some juicy ideas for the next PvP update. I think you'll like them.

In this update, the aforementioned rope kissing has been added along with the newer pinfalls and a piledriver, performed by using D key while opponent is stunned. Expect more grabs, after I work out a way to put in more, that's not too contrived.

MBR Alpha Preview

Preview of the next alpha. I'm thinking it'll be here by the end of next month. Hopefully, the release won't follow too far behind. Some things added of course, but I won't spoil them in the video. =)

DD: Nexus Update is Out

In this update, in addition to some new animations, the long awaited wave select has been added. Just press the number on the keyboard for the corresponding wave, and voila! There are currently 3 waves.

New PVP: Improved Pinfalls

This has been a while coming. Never really liked the way I made the standard pins look. One of the updates for the new PVP are some long overdue, sexier pinfalls. I will probably even add more pins at some point.

Just a Little Heads Up

Hello All!

It has come to my attention that at times comments that you post might not go through, or "stick". I don't know what causes it, but it may appear at times that I've deleted these comments. This is not the case however, as I only remember ever deleting spam comments thus far. Just keep it in mind.

Next DD: Nexus

Just a peek at one of the things that will be added to the next DD: Nexus. Bit of a "trololol" video, but it I like it.

I'm also pondering on an interesting, somewhat intuitive way to implement some special moves into the game. So for thought, what kind of special moves do you all want to see performed on a Linda?

September Update and Thensome

Happy Fall everybody! I was meaning to have more to show this month, but between a more or less mandatory destination wedding attendance for a close personal relation, and various electrical problems where I live, it's been a busy September for me.

New Phoenix Vs. Pantera

So, I've added some more animations for the "roped" state to the game. Now, different things happen when a character is grabbed on the ropes, depending on the timing. I've also changed the occurrence rate of certain things on the CPU's end and rebalanced some damage. Next, I'll be attempting to work some more intricacies into the grab system along with several more grab moves.

New DD: Nexus

So thinking about what CarbonBW said, I reworked the whip animation a little, and now the constant whipping is instead, a "Whip Combo". I think you'll like it. Furthermore, the game's difficulty has gone up a bit, especially level 3 when the whip combo starts being used. Right now it's:

Level 1: 3 Basic Lindas

Level 2: 4 Lindas, who now counter you if you smother too early 

 Level 3: 5 Lindas, who now whip combo you 

Right now, that's the difficulty cap.

 So, what game do you folks want to see updated this month? The $50+ preference is likely Phoenix Vs. Pantera, but since that was last month's release we'll defer to a poll this month. Next month's release however, will likely be Phoenix Vs. Pantera. 

Armored Arena Preview

Some stuff added to Armored Arena. Next update, I'll also finally add in the remaining elements for the standard enemy. I've been thinking of what I want each element to be like for the player, as well as the enemies.

Also, just a heads up. In two updates, I'll be aiming to have the game save to a save file in the same location, among other things. There's a chance that saves might not carry over.

June Update

Next DD Nexus Preview and More

So moving forward for Double Dragon Nexus, I'm going to start implementing whip animations for the Lindas, as well as gradual difficulty increase as you move forward in waves, and perhaps score keeping. Also going to start thinking of some more moves for Marian to use.

A unanimous $50+ decision (assuming their preferences haven't changed since we last spoke), means that Phoenix Vs. Pantera will be the release for this month. So no poll this month, although next month we will use a p...

Patron Files and MBR Alpha

Files have just been sent out. Just as a reminder, if you were declined or not charged(late) for May's post, you won't have received anything, in which case you can receive files at the end of this month. 

Furthermore, all $5 tier supporters will have received the alpha for Monster Beater Reki. Foxette is there...but she's not playable. There were a few updates for her that I didn't get to just yet. You should enjoy it anyway.

May Update

Okay. So the recent dilemma has been averted by temporarily switching my account type to monthly as Orthrus also suggested. The reason this bugged me out a bit is because if there is no charge, I can't get an updated list of legitimate patrons to send files to.

Again Double D: Nexus is going to be this May's release, along with Monster Beater. You can expect files out on the 2nd or 3rd, as usual.

Double D: Nexus Update

Several changes made to the game, one of which is seen in this video. Previously when mounting an enemy, you would automatically smother them once their health hit 0. Now, you have to choose the right time to smother them. If you do it too soon...
