Another Wrecked Poll, Stage 1 of 2

I'm thinking the Moana v Ariel and Wendy Wrecked pictures should be done about the same time. I kinda like getting these polls started early since it gives me more time to think about it. The idea here is another wrecked. These are fun for me, and they can be as long or short as I want.

WIP: Fantasy wars

Loving the new monitor. It makes drawing go a lot faster, and I have a much better view of the whole picture, since with the tablet I had to zoom in on whatever part I was working on, meaning that I couldn't get a wider look without stopping and zooming out. I can't believe I didn't upgrade sooner. This will make getting back into a larger project like the Ladybug thing much more feasible. Can't get too excited though.

Duke Sketch: Urban Fantasy Goth Samurai

Not very 'goth' but I suck at figuring out what goth should look like. I'm actually digging what can be done with urban fantasy though. It lets me design whatever crazy outfit I want. My main problem with 'real world' is just that I then have to give characters somewhat believable clothes. 

It's going to take forever before I am use to the new monitor, but so far I'm really digging it.

Big News

Well, after using a $50 graphics tablet for the last several years, I finally felt confident enough to purchase a graphics monitor (so I'm drawing directly on the image, instead of on a tablet in my lap. It only cost $500, which is a lot less than I thought they were. A lot of them still go for $2,000.

I'm back. Got back in last night. Decided to finish off this very random little project I set up for myself. I'm not evens sure what this is. It's like a "What if Nintendo made porn games" concept. It was also just more experimenting with my multiply/screen method of coloring. I kinda regret the fairy, but too many layers are involved to remove it.

Fantasy Wars: Motunui vs Atlantica, 1/2

Pretty quck and sloppy. i didn't even really bother coloring in the lines during most of it, and just tidied up the ugliest parts as I went. This was kind of an experiment in that regard. Kingdom Sluts

Another Duke request that got expanded on because bla, bla bla, haven't gotten to draw Kingdom Hearts before, bla, bla, bla, I wanted to experiment with a much more haphazard method of coloring to save time, bla, bla, bla, and it kinda worked. Kairi in the background was made using a different method than the rest of the image. I hope it's not that obvious, but it probably is, and Im' not sure if one is better than the other.

Looks like Moana is winning. Sunday has always been my "draw only for fun" day, so i'm using it to finish up the Moana vs Ariela. The next one will be more of a wrecked series than a fight, although it may start as a fight depending on who wins. So, who gets wrecked

I'll start with whichever victor gets the most votes overall (that way the loser can't win with a plurality), and then I'll draw the most requested scenario for that victory. So, it doesn't matter if your particular option doesn't win, so long as the fighter your backing does. 

WIP: Fantasy Wars: Motuniu vs Atlantica

I think this Fantasy Wars thing is becoming my favorite content to make. It's just really fun to draw and think about the princesses gearing up to fight and ravage. 

I'm going to hold another vote on who wins (for Knights and above), but if any of you have any ideas for future fights, let me know. The don't have to be Disney themed. They just need to believably exist in the same universe. So, Scooby Doo versus Josei and The Pussy Cats. Or Harry Potter versus Buffy the Vampire Slaye...

Nadia and the Pirates

I think Nadia's main shtick is that she's always finding herself in some troubling situation because of all the enemies she's made, but she inevitably escapes, further humiliating her foes. 

Man, I love pirates. 

Duke Sketch: Lady (DMC)

I think this will be the last one I do in this painting style. I don't like the way it looks with regular Caucasian/Asian skin (which is amazingly hard to color, because it's actually incredible subtle, and I just wish everyone was green and/or blue). Colors are too muddy for my aesthetic, which is bright and cartoonish. I also just don't think I did the best job depicting Lady from this angle. She should look a bit more spry and tomboyish.

I hope that it's not too obvious that I'm in catch-up mode from the last week. Otherwise I'd be doing this is my normal cartoony style, which takes longer, instead of painting over gray-scale.

EDIT: You know what, I fucked up on this one. The notes said "realistic" sized breasts, and I went full Marky again. I can do better on the next one.

You know, I think drawing in blue helped me see everything clearer. It'll be black for the final image, but this might be something worth experimenting with. 

Sokka + June = Sune or Jokka?

Did they ever establish if Sokka had kids or not? I actually like how many of the main characters didn't have children. Of ALL my friends, only one has kids, so it's nice to see some 'childless' representation, lol. I actually hated how in Harry Potter, everyone just gets paired up and becomes boring middle-class Brits, even if they're like bounty-hunters or whatever. I would have preferred it if Harry Potter was so traumatized by his orphaning that he'd chose to not have kids, just to avoid ...

Just a regular old, normal, duke sketch for once, again. Gonna be doing a few of these tonight. How do you guys feel about lamias as a monster type? Are they good as snake-ladies, like gorgons? I haven't seen many people do the other interpretation, with a woman's head on the body of a dog-creature with reptilian scales.
