I was never happy with the Healer's Wedding/Farmer's Crown books, but I admit when I started a redraw of the four-year-old piece that's excerpted on the HW cover (seen on the right in the second photo) I wasn't seriously thinking 'so let's try redoing it in the most ambitious way possible.' - Shepherdess - a quasi-elven character, inked with dip pens and brushes. A lot of my work at this time was inked in dip pen rather than technical pen. I liked how it looked (still do, actually, and it gives the original a raised texture that's fun to touch).

- Ciracaana Bowing - That outfit, y'all. I loved inking translucency, in this case with lighter lines 'inside' the veiled bits.
- Vixen with Earring - You know, this is 27 years old and it's still pretty cool. The wild earring makes it.
Historical Scanning, Sketchbook 14
Scanning continues, if sporadically. Some highlights today; appropriately, on the 14th some sketches from Sketchbook 14. These are from 1995, so 27 years ago:
- Fasianyl and Sellelvi - (Boy these characters are old). Inking is pretty crude, but look how much attention I spent on the outfits, anyway. Sellelvi's veil is curtained around her muzzle! Too funny.

This'll be the first story in the January collection covering the events right after Beth's death. I was going to schedule that collection for this year, but honestly this year has enough releases in it (two collections, three novels, and one novelette)!
