Quick note

Edited the title to take away Part 1. I'm tired of those.....some chapters are just going to be multiparted, and it's been happening a lot lately. Didn't feel right making 6k word chapters for these when they have natural conclusions.

I also edited the last couple lines to make sure that the reader understood Kwaya didn't inherently know every word in the language.

Next chapter: The Life of Kwaya: The War

Chapter 70: The Life of Kwaya: Abandoned

When the purple coloring left his eyes, Walker found himself....small. Incredibly small. As if he was lying flat on the floor, looking up. Strange disjointed thoughts struck him as he fully merged with Kwaya's pages.

Food;Cold;Tired;Food;Move legs;Move arms;Tired:Food;Cold;

The thoughts kept coming, but his vision didn't make sense. The images he was seeing were blurry and confusing. Things kept appearing and disappearing within seconds, as if they'd never existed. Althou...

Chapter 69: Administrator Training Part 2

Author's note: In the chapter, "In Another Rendition: The Slicer." I made a big point about all of the Sentinels being gone. However, in the chapter "In the Council Chambers and Across the Protocol", I made a point that the Psi and Omega planets still had them. This was an error on my point in the Slicer's chapter that I've corrected. I added a few lines about the council chambers still holding Sentinels, whereas the Sentinels that are normally found across those protocol's planets are gone. ...

Chapter 68: Administrator Training Part 1

Author note: Reminder, only one chapter will be released next weekend. I'm going to make it up to you on spring break (two weeks). I should be able to write quite a bit and I'll include at least one bonus chapter. Tried to make this one chapter, no dice.

"Come on...." Walker said, looking at the timer. He'd already lost twenty minutes and wasn't looking forward to what could happen if he failed.

"Stupid Morgan with her stupid bullshit....come on....", But, there w...

Chapter comes out in a few hours. Really enjoying it so far. More than I have of a chapter since the Monster Tiers one. Should be fun. Sorry for the weird note, just thought I'd let you know.

Chapter 67: A Confluence of Systems Part 2

It was about six hours later that Walker stepped out of the Cosmic Genesis system. Orion, as an advanced AI focused on creating planets, stars, and asteroids, had a largely technical and complicated view of how to build a world from start to end. Walker could have just stepped into the Landmass system like he did with the Faer planet, but he needed to make sure that the three Conservatory worlds were ready to go within a month. Accommodating for Walker's Time control, Orion h...

Quick Warning

As some of you know, I'm a high school English teacher and coach by trade. Not this Saturday, but the next one I'll be coaching my team in a district and city qualifier round. Since I began coaching, my team has always made the championships, and I hope to do so again.

However, it's very mentally and emotionally draining, and thus I have a hard time writing afterwards. That means, the weekend after next will only have one chapter. I'll do my best to make it a doozy as there will b...

Chapter 66: A Confluence of Systems Part 1

Walker began to head towards the entrance, ready to ask Heph some questions. As he stepped forward, he quickly realized that he'd forgotten the one-hundred-vault chest, and turned around. Picking it up, he whispered to the living chest beside him, "Come on."

He saw it vibrate a little, but there was no movement aside from that.

"What's wrong?" He asked, not really expecting it to answer, "Is something holding you back?"

The chest vibrated again, but never moved from its spot...

Chapter 65: A Single Step Stopped

As one they rushed out of the building, quickly breaking away from a mortal's speed. Buildings, Founders and Primigenials alike were a blur as Walker moved to keep up, extending his strides and controlling his breathing as they crossed the grass fields of Sonata. After only a few minutes at the rate they were moving, the group began to slow down as they approached a small stone and metal building. Unlike most others, which were raised near each other for ease of travel, Sonata's jail was sitt...

Chapter 64: The Conservatory

Authors note: I know, I'm supposed to dive into the Mastery system, but I have a reason! I had to build up how things were going to work so Walker had a purpose to creating it in that moment. The next...I want to say four chapters, will focus on the Event system, Mastery system, and party and war systems. Then we have a group of side-arcs, then the Conservatory is coming to an end and the Faction s system is beginning. When that ends, we'll be diving into Battle 3 Finally. Sometimes my chapte...

Chapter 63: The Grand Speech

Athena and Walker stayed in his office for a time after Virgil left to set things up. They talked about what had changed in not only the month he'd been gone, but the time he'd been unconscious as well. It was a lot to catch up on.

"So Runner beat Ares in a duel?"

She twitched a hand back and forth, "Kind of. It's more along the lines of she kept pelting him with arrows and running in circles while he yelled at her."

"Isn't that dangerous?" Walker couldn't help but ask.

Chapter 62: The Wind

"Walker!" A voice called out in the near distance, "Wallkkerrr!"

He turned around to find who was calling, his book closing in front of him automatically. Coming over the rise, as there was now a small hill pushing itself out of Sonata, a young woman came running over still yelling his name. He raised a single hand in the air to wave her down.

She moved into a dead sprint upon sighting him, showing an impressive amount of speed for a non-awakened. As she grew closer, something cur...

Chapter 61: The Book of Souls

Walker stepped out of the metaphysical realm. Of course no actual steps were taken, rather a taller than average man with a shock of white hair sat in the stone chair of an empty office. His mind was aware, but his body wouldn't work for him as something unusual was happening.

When he had reached the first stage, a pulse had shot out of him into the immediate atmosphere. When he reached the second, one had fired into space itself, arcing across the 4th rendition. But the thir...

Writer's Update

I'm sure you can tell.

I hit a little bit of burnout last month. Not enough to seriously impede me, but just enough to wear me down. It happened around the time I had to write the ending to the second book (Morgan arc).

I realized I'm not like the writer from DOTF and the PH. I can't keep stretching out books more and more. It needs to have an ending, a SOMETHING. I appreciate what they can do, but I'm not a pop fiction serial writer. ...

On Earth: Alexander and the End Times

The Boy and his father continued to travel across the barren Earth. They'd barely been getting along, constantly pursued by things they couldn't name. Monsters, covered in and made of shadow. Strange things in the night's air, attacking anything that came close. There were also others, other creatures. People. Humans.

Alexander, or Lex as he preferred to be called, was adrift in a sea of horror. He’d learned to navigate the current of it over the last three months of his life, but not...

In the Psi Protocol's World: The Slicer

"Next!" a voice called out.

The Slicer weaved his way across multiple unremarkable platforms, a line of variously sized creatures waiting in front of him. Skyscrapers littered the landscape, each having no purpose for the Psi protocol except one thing, holding the bloated masses who had become comfortable in their small and unimportant lives. Attacking them was useless, something he knew well from experience.

One of his abilities informed him that something humorous was about to h...

In the Council Chamber and Across the Protocols

Authors note: This is the Epilogue to book 2. It's intentionally short, again, as it fits best with the first chapter of Book 3: In Another Rendition: The Slicer. Sorry it's a little short, but try to keep in mind how much yesterdays chapter took out of me.

In a dark room at the Center of the Evolvers Multiverse, a varying range of former Creators moved around an ostentatious room with excitement. Supreme assistants moved with them, each council member having two helpin...

Chapter 60: I Will Always Be Better

Authors note: Def the end of Book 2. You'll see. Enjoy, it was a pain in the ass to write. Strangely the last 500 words were easy.

Alarms fired off in his mind, but Walker closed off his thoughts as quickly as he could. Realizing what was happening, he started to visualize music videos to entertain the Awakened before him. If she was somehow reading his mind, he needed her to be distracted, and what better way than with musical elements from the various artists he'd watched a...

Chapter 59: Answers

Authors note: This is intentionally short as it's designed like an Epilogue. This is the end of the second book, which will be titled: Symphony: Displacement

"Thousands?" Walker asked in disbelief.

"That is correct." She said with a laugh and giggle, "You really stepped in it kiddo. She stretched her arms up then fanned herself with one hand, "I can feel the pull of it from here, oh my yes. I can't believe you found such a large amount of Origin material. It had to have...

Chapter 58: The Third Stage

He was still sitting in his stone chair several minutes after the event. The moment the blue energy had forcibly entered his body, several things had happened at once.

Walker felt himself grow. Not a large amount, but just enough so that the last vestiges of his pants and underwear had ripped. The final surrender of his clothes had left him seated in a fully nude fashion. He'd had the Item system produce a basic blanket to cover his unmentionables, while Zeus and his sons talked about w...

Final Cover for The Boy and the Stick

Here's the cover for the Novella, The Boy and the Stick, which I work on from time to time when I'm at work. My goal is to finish Creation before the start of summer, and finish this not long after.

I'll be spending the first two months of summer finishing this novella, as well as editing Creation, which will likely be renamed to Symphony with subtitles that follow:

Symphony: Creation (up till the end of the second battle)

Symphony: Displacement (...

Chapter 57: Trials

Magni spit to the side, a sharp thwacking sound letting Walker know where it landed.

"Why are you meeting all of the Greeks and not us?" He demanded, "You know they're a bunch of perverts, right?'

Walker waved a hand, "those stories were taken out of context."

"Oh really?" Magnis asked with a raised eyebrow, "And what are you doing with them right now?'

Walker thought it over, "They're giving me tasks that unlock their bloodline modifications for use in-."

Chapter 56: Tasks Galore Redux

Walker slapped his palms together after the fiftieth Founder, now named Jackson, walked out of his office. He had, of course, explained to the man that the root of the name Jackson literally came from being the son of Jack. Similarly, if Walker had a child he could name them Walkerson. He'd never do that, but it was still interesting to him, and Jackson had liked to hear about it. At least he thought he did based on the man's tremulous smile as he left.

After the man walked out, Walker ...

Slightly late chapter and a redux

The chapter coming out tonight will be slightly late, and there will be two. I split the last chapter a little, and I'm adding more on to the scene with Triton and Poseidon. After I published it, it didn't sit right with me, and I felt this was the best way of going about it. I'll post both back to back after editing so you get the updates in full. Sorry for any confusion.

Don't do this too often

But, I'm a little nervous about this last chapter.

I think the GodEater system is needed for my finale, and to make Symphony work with my future plans. But, maybe it's too soon?

Basically, I'm feeling uncomfortable because I'm not sure if I did this chapter right, and I'm curious about what you guys think. You know the story just as well as me, did this feel off, and if so, why?

Chapter 55: Sycophants and Seperatists

Walker looked at the book again, "Making a Prime? You can do that?"

Athena nodded, "Oh yes. That is the collected knowledge of Odin, including his discovery and use of Nordic runes." She made a small shrug, "It is not guaranteed that reading the book will form you into a prime, but you have much better odds than without it. Odin documented his life in the form of a journal, from his original creation presumably until the time of his death. It is all in there." She said with a nod to the...
