Congrats to those who managed to collect a W in your fantasy basketball (in what was the most silliest of silly seasons in recent memory) and fantasy hockey leagues!

Hashtag Basketball: ESPN Matchup Planner

Hey all - just a heads up that around 4-5 days ago I added a single-week mode to the ESPN matchup planner tool on Hashtag Basketball. The standard tool uses the default double-week playoff option, but for those who still play single weeks during the playoffs, use the Matchup Planner with the SW tag next to it.

Hey all - here's a quick summary of what has been updated on Hashtag Basketball:

ESPN category leagues now have an additional matchup planner option for those who have playoffs starting this week as a double week (W18 Double):

 

If your playoffs don't start this week, then ignore this option and use the regular planner.

The revised trade (Notebook drop)

I’m just about to adjust my projections based on the news that the Mark Williams / Knecht trade has been rescinded, but wanted to get this one out early (good timing that I’m in the middle of watching a game when it went down).

The biggest losers are Knecht, Nurkic, and Diabate. We’re light on details on why the trade got rescinded, so I’m ok with holding Diabate for now (unless Hayes is available) to see if it was for enough of a medical reason that might hold Mark Williams out...

The final day of the trade deadline (Notebook drop)

We didn’t see any league winners come out of the final day of the trade deadline, but we did see a lot of small move with small fantasy impacts. Here’s how I’ve updated my projections (for now).

Atlanta moved a few mid wings and brought in a few mid wings. De’Andre Hunter moving to Cleveland decreases the value of his best category (scoring). The shots just won’t be there, so I’ve lowered his FGA. LeVert and Niang going to Atlanta should give them a few more minutes with Bog...

We saw a heap of trades go down today. Instead of running over all of them, I wanted to highlight the important players impacted and how I’d adjusted their projections so far.

Mark Williams moving to LA should remain unchanged, but I've upped his FG%. Have upped Knecht’s minutes, but he doesn’t provide much outside of scoring. Diabaté is the big winner here (so far). It took a crazy trade for me to bring back a notebook drop! Part of me still thinks that Shams got hacked, and this trade makes no sense to me from a real-life NBA perspective, but here's how I've updated my projections based on what has happened:

• Luka and LeBron’s assists go down a touch playing next to each other.

• Reaves takes a big hit here. He was averaging 7+ assists since moving to PG, but Luka will take the ball out of his hands a lot.

New Tool: NHL Starting Goalies

Hey all - I've changed data providers for the fantasy hockey website, which has given me more data to play with.

One of the new data feeds is a feed for starting goalies, so I've put together a page that lists starting goalies for the day, and a breakdown of their stats and last 5 games.

API connection reboot

Hey all - I've just given the API connections another quick reboot. It looks like the Yahoo API connection is getting throttled a bit with so much activity. For anybody having issues importing leagues, please close your browser, log back in, and try importing it again.

Manual draft trackers are now available for ESPN and Sleeper leagues

Hey all - a pretty common request over the past week has been to make the manual draft tracker for custom leagues easier to use for ESPN leagues. A suggestion I had was to make the manual draft tracker work with the ESPN data that already gets imported (ADP, player positions, teams etc.).

Thought it was a pretty good suggestion, so there's now manual mode draft trackers for ESPN leagues!
