For the WSC 906.
Maneglo-Borno has been a hillclimb event for quite a long time, though barely ever known outside of the region, virtually unknown to those outside of Italy. The ever versatile 906 obviously also entered many hillclimb events, in this case with Angelo Caffi, who was a local hillclimb ace by the time the 1968 edition was held. Caffi raced for the more internationally known Italian team Scuderia Brescia Corse at this time.
I wasn't able to find any records as to wha...

For the WSC 906.
Porsche 906-120 had quite a rough life after being sold to Peter Bellamy in 1969. A few months before, the car barely survived a fire in the engine compartment, which destroyed the original engine - receiving a heart transplant from the wrecked 906-149. Sadly, the car would see all manners of abuse in the hands of the new owner. In 1971, in hopes of making the car competitive in the new Grand Champion series, Bellamy had the engine upbored to a 2.2L. The rear of the car...

For the WSC 906.
Fred Baker was one of America's wealthiest and prominent sports car racers during the mid to late 60's, racing many different cars of various displacements, but was famed for his green Porsche 906 in the USRRC, one which was blue for a brief time in 1967.
Here at the 1967 Sebring 12h, the three man team of Baker, Lee Cutler and Charlie Kolb of NART fame, shared driving duties over 2 cars; the 906 and a blue Ferrari Dino 206S. The Dino broke down on the opening la...

For the WSC 906.
A familiar name to some of you by now, Annie Soisbault was one of the fastest female racing drivers from France in the 50's and 60's, racing Ferraris and Porsches during her brief career. The blue and yellow stripes often present on her cars referred to her family's shield, of the same tints.
Despite participating in the practice sessions, Soisbault would withdraw from the Paris 1000km race, instead racing her 906 in more local hillclimb events before selling th...

Scuderia Filipinetti, who hasn't heard of them? The wealthy Swiss racing team ran perhaps the greatest variety of racing cars, ranging from the Lotus Cortina to the Shelby Cobra Daytona -and everything in between! Naturally, they also owned a 906 at some point in their decade long reign, entering it in various WSC races, championship and non championship rounds.
In the 1966 Paris 1000km, two French drivers were contacted to drive the car; Jean Guichet and Claude...

For Legions exquisite new Cooper-Maserati mod.
A brainchild of inter-war racing driver 'Tommy' Atkins, the Cooper-Maserati ran a big 5L V8 instead of the more common Climax engines, which gave it the necessary grunt to fend off the Cobras from overseas. Tamed by the great Roy Salvadori, the Cooperati ran well in the British "Big Banger" racing series, a sort of early form o...

For my Porsche 904/4 GTS.
The 904 GTS was one of the (if not THE) most produced sports cars for racing by Porsche. Some sources say 60, other over 100 of these 904's were built over a period of roughly 3 years. These cars obviously saw plenty of successes, and went on to race all over the world.
Here's another one of the international cars, Carl W. Lindell Co.'s 904 ran the 1965 Sebring 12h with David Lane and Chuck Cassel, though unfortunately not making it through the entire 12 ...

For Lucas Macedo's excellent Prince Skyline GT mod.
I think we all know the story by now, but for those who don't, lets have a quick recap:
Prince lost badly in the 1963 Japanese Grand Prix, a total PR disaster. To salvage their reputation with sporty saloons, the S50 generation Prince Skyline was introduced later that year, but only saw racing action in 1964 at the 2nd Japanese Grand Prix. Prince had no "real" GT car ready for the GT-II race, but did have a "Super-6" engine from the...

For the GTC Ferrari 250GTO Serie II.
Speaking of rarities, this one ticks all the boxes! Very few 250GTO/64 exist, yet they managed to show up to pretty much all major WSC races in the 1964 season. Chassis 5575GT was raced by France's quickest dames; Nicole Roure and Annie Soisbault. The blue and yellow stripes were part of Soisbault's family shield colours, and her racing cars were often marked with these colours.
By the time the Paris 1000km race of 1964 came around, 5575GT was...

For the WSC Legends MKIV.
One of the two spare cars for the 1967 Le Mans 24h, J-12 was a MKIV that never saw the track in period. In fact, the two spares, J-11 and 12, originally didn't even have an official chassis designation. I made this livery about 2 years ago now but never saw reason to release it, maybe you will enjoy it though!

For the newly released ATCC Prince Skyline 1500 mod (check their Facebook page for links)
1964 was a very important year for the Skyline. Following their dramatic defeat at the 1963 Japan Grand Prix, Prince sought to step up their domestic motorsports program, providing sports kits to customers for their S50 generation Skyline in preparation for the next Japan Grand Prix. An official works team dubbed "the 7 Samurai of Prince" was founded, and work went into fitting the "Super-6" 2L eng...

[Version 1.1]
A little side-project I'm proud to unleash upon the world is this Porsche 904/4. Considering we have a 904/6 (flat 6) and 904/8 (flat 8), but not the very common 904/4 in AC, I went ahead and used Legion's 904/8 model (not the same one as in the ACL/WSC pack), created the Type 587/3 B4 flat 4 engine in Automation and ported it over into the Assetto Corsa car.
Legion updated the UV Mapping of the car, so other skins for his 904/8 may not be compatible fully!

While the GS programme ended prematurely a few years earlier, it wouldn't mark the competition end for the big wannabe Cobra killer. At the 1967 Daytona 24h, one Jim White Chevrolet dealer sponsored GS (chassis 004) appeared at the WSC race. Due to engine troubles all through practice and qualifying, it failed to set a time and started all the way back in 61st place.
Naturally, with that great start one could expect the car to not make it...

For the KS GT40 MK1 - previously released on RD.
GT40 P/1075, a car so iconic, it may be the most well known GT40 ever made. For good reason too, this car carried JWA's efforts in the 1968 and 1969 WSC seasons, winning at Sebring, Watkins Glen, Brands Hatch and Le Mans - two years in a row.
This car has a very special place in my heart; this car (in Gran Turismo 4) ignited my love for racing history back when I was just 6 years old. It was one of the first liveries I "recreated" u...

For the WSC60's T70 Mk3 GT.
Egmont Dursch ran this rather funky looking T70 (SL73/105) in hillclimbs, road rallies and the famed Interserie in 1970. Well, somewhat. He never really got good results out of the car, prompting a massive makeover by turning it into a spyder.
That's really all I got on this car! Very little is known about it. The livery has been adapted to the Interserie entry for easier usage in singleplayer grids. Enjoy!

Exclusive early release for my paid subscribers.
Piccionaia Racing Team was one of the wealthier privateer racing teams from Italy in the 60's, up to the early 70's. Originally starting out with a Porsche 906 (included in the WSC pack), the team soon upgraded to a Porsche 910 - painted orange with a blue stripe, like an inverted Gulf livery. While they were always on pace with the other 2L cars, even rivalling the Autodelta works T33/2's at the Imola 500km in 1968, reliability issues bi...

Bit of a quickie from a few weeks ago, Richard Shardlow may be mostly known for his very successful Porsche 906, which he raced for multiple years in the British club racing scene.
Though, he also ran this striking red/gold Chevron for a brief time, without much success. Should make for a good grid filler though!

John Ewer was among the more prominent amateur/semi pro racing drivers in the UK club racing scene, spanning over a decade of racing only in the UK. He had his best years running this orange/blue Mustang in the BSCC by 1968, entering it in smaller, non championship events the year prior. Sadly, I can't find much about mr. Ewer, aside from his biggest win; the 1968 Snetterton 500km.

For Pessio Garage's Scorpion TC 1.0 1970.
FAZA's story is one that can be seen as straight up bizarre and always incredible. Founded by Italian-American Alfred Cosentino in New York, the little tuning shop quickly became famous for it's ridiculously fast Abarth 1000's. Proudly proclaimed on the side of the car; "35 National Races - 34 Victories".
If you want to read up on the incredible story of Al Cosentino and FAZA, I highly recommend giving this a read: 2024-09-19 06:00:03 +0000 UTC

For the TCL Jaguar MK2.
In the early days of the BSCC, one manufacturer proved to be dominant; Jaguar. Their MK1 and MK2 saloon's were simply unrivaled for multiple years, even when the Lotus Cortina joined the series. As a result, quite a few star drivers ended up racing the MK2 in the BSCC. Drivers like Jack Sears, Roy Salvadori, Mike Salmon and, in the case of this livery, Graham Hill!

For the ACL Trans Am Chevrolet Camaro '68.
A car that does not really need an introduction, I hope! Penske's Camaro's became the defining example for "the unfair advantage", thanks to the many insane methods Roger Penske used to give his cars a slight performance advantage. But lets not discuss this matter, and instead focus on the gorgeous livery! I've recreated the pinstripes on the sides as accurately as possible, drawn custom numbers and decals for the car.
Penske entered two...

The Porsche 911 is a car not often associated with touring car racing, yet - thanks to the huge production numbers - the car became eligible for production touring car racing by 1968. As voted for by the community here, after a very close tie on Sunday, the winner turned out to be Touring Car Week!
Touring car racing was very popular in the 60's and 70's, still a reasonably affordable category offering much excitement for both drivers and spectators alike. This set of 5 liveries aims to represent that. Ranging from the little FAZA Squadra Abarth 1000TC which dominated SCCA national and regional races in 1970 to the big endurance prepped Penske Camaro. For the GTC 300SL.
Now, I typically don't tend to do many 50's liveries for a couple reasons; for one, it's hard to get good photographs of non-championship 50's races, or many angles on certain cars. On top of that, the liveries are often quite plain, so a little less enjoyable for me to put together.
But exceptions can be made, of course. The Jaguar D-Type for instance, my all-time favourite Jaguar. And the 300SL, the prettiest Mercedes of all time (in my opinion).

For the WSC60's Ferrari 250LM.
Chassis 6107 originally started out its life as a street car, sort of. Owner Steven Earle used to "daily" it for over 3 years in California, while also entering the 14,000 dollar car in street races of questionable legality. One thing that set the car aside from other 250LM's was it's unique darker shade of red.
It wouldn't be until January of 1968 that the car finally saw racing action, being entered in the 1968 Daytona 24 Hours. Despite being a 4 ...
