Black Widow vs The Invisible Rogue: aftermath

Originally there wasn't going to be a "sorry for the lack of nudity" sketch this week, and I was going to let the Halloween underwear page stand on its own: after all, people like underwear. I can remember more than one occasion on Deviantart where the underwear variation of a character got close to or more faves than the final ENF form. Mainly, though, the decision was owing to the simple fact that I was all out of sketches at the moment, and I didn't feel I had time to do one before the dea...

Halloween Treats Page 4 & 5

The ghosts, perhaps understanding that their powers are brief and that Halloween itself is fleeting, redouble their efforts to remove all traces of the accursed costume. Why do they do this? Not even they understand their motivations, but the results are striking.

I know there are underwear fans out there who enjoy nothing more than a woman in a fun pair of skivvies, so here ya go: Halloween underwear ahoy!

It looks like June (This lady's name is June, by the way) is a little suspicious of the elder trick treaters who have appeared on her doorstep. Being clever individuals, though, our heroes shift gears and come up with a story that is sure to set her mind at ease. Meanwhile, the clothes-hating ghosts who haunt her house get started on their work. Why do they hate Halloween costumes? Who knows, but the results are spectacular.

I realize the compression here makes her pumpkins look at lit...

Dirty Pair Starport Security

I've been a big anime fan since the before times: waaay back in 1988. Back then we didn't have all your fancy Narutoes or any of your Attacks on your Titanses. We had stuff like Project A-Ko, Urusei Yatsura, and Bubblegum Crisis. My favorite by far, though, was Dirty Pair. The appeal is pretty simple: two hot twentysomethings flying around in space solving crimes in futuristic bikinis. There is simply nothing not to love about that concept. A year or so ago, I backed a Kickstarter that was pu...

A quick note regarding Clara

Due to seasonal obligations (and the fact that I can't schedule worth a fig), I'm pausing the Clara story to do a Halloween special. The Halloween thing will be short, but it may run a tad into November, I'm not sure. I don't have a clearly defined plan... obviously.

Halloween Treats Pgs 1 & 2

I've gotten a lot of questions over the years in this kookoo ENF game, and one that comes up a lot, especially with the one-shots, is "what happened that led up to this?" It stems from a natural undercurrent of curiosity that thrums in the intellect of all men of ENF culture. The ENF genre, after all is, moreso than many other communities, concerned with narrative above all. It's not enough to know the destination, one must know the path that was taken to get here. Thus, we revisit a popular ...

Clara's Expedition Page 3

The jungle has long been a setting for action and adventure, and it's not hard to see why: secretive forests populated with dangerous animals and scary insects, mysterious temples with their needlessly elaborate traps, not to mention rickety bridges. Clara seems to have run into some trouble with one of those bridges, but it it looks like she has things well in hand...and toes.

I will be doing something for Halloween this year, and due to my lack of scheduling ability I'll be interrupti...

Clara's Expedition Page 2

Clara has hit some setbacks in her jungle excursion, but as we can see she's equal to the challenge. At least Percival's load has been lightened, not that he couldn't handle it but sometimes I worry about the poor guy.

I had to do a last minute fix on this one, I got all the way through the pencilling, inking, colouring, and shading processes, did the lettering, considered it done, and finished three more pages before going back and noticing that Clara's right hand (the one in front of...

Low Angle Rescue!

So I had this reference picture of two women holding each other that was taken from a low perspective. You don't often get images like that, shot from a crazy low angle where you kind of have to take a beat to figure out what you're looking at, and I thought it would make a good reference, so I snagged it. I was planning to use it for the scene where Michelle and Maris are wrestling in Police Investigation 2, but for whatever reason that didn't happen. Anyway, I'm going through my references ...

When we last saw Clara Bruckner she was living among the cheeseburger birds and learning their ways. Now she's set her sights higher: the mysterious and unexplored jungles of Whoan Elli. The stakes are high, the dangers many, but with her faithful companion Percival by her side, how much trouble can she get into?

Someone asked for more Clara, last seen here:

Summer Mammaries

Summer is coming to an end, but the fond memories will keep us warm all through the cold winter months to come.

Early in the new year I got an iPad as late Christmas gift to myself, I also got the iPen stylus thingie along with Procreate: the greatest art app ever to be named after the act of sexual intercourse. After some messing around and getting to know the features, I set about using it for the same purpose for which I employ all art supplies: drawing a surprised woman with large ...

Becky vs Bugs Page 16

The day is won, and what's more Jacqueline's husband has emerged from his cocoon. She seems very happy to see him, and I wonder if they'll be pushing their twin beds together tonight. Becky, meanwhile, signs off the show for today. She has to take a couple of tries at it, and the final take could probably still use a little polish. Although they're not a particularly bright bunch, the crew knows a dangerous situation when they see one and says they can work with it.

This week in Legmus...

It looks as though the giant telepathic (?) moth has been taken care of, and as convenience would have it, all the other moths have departed as well. And not a moment too soon, as Becky and her client have run almost completely out of clothing. Oh well: at the end of the day, it's an excuse to go shopping, which is an activity I'm sure that Jacqueline would appreciate. It seems like there's another surprise in store, though, as a familiar voice turns the young housewife's head and makes her h...

In the midst of giving crucial instructions to Jacqueline, Becky notices the camera angle is a bit lower than it ought to be. A discussion about cinematic technique ensures, as the newly deputized housewife follows her instructions to the best of her ability. The plan works, sort of, with the moth being knocked silly by the refrigerator door. Becky commands the fridge to overload in a maximum fashion, which doesn't have the desired effect, but does put a finer point on things.

It's time...

The giant moth (who is pretty medium sized as monster moths go, if we're including Mothra in the mix) has now emerged into the bright, well-appointed kitchen. Becky outlines her plan to Jacqueline, who makes some small adjustments to it based on her more limited abilities in the sphere of giant bug dispersal. Sadly, the last of Becky's undergarments have finally succumbed to the inevitable, floating down to the floor in tiny cotton strands.

Jacqueline's kitchen is meant to be Mid-cent...

Becky vs Bugs Page 12

The girls reach the kitchen, the scene of their last stand, with the moth mutant still in hot pursuit. It is here where Becky unfurls her plan: remembering what Mr. McMullan, noted genetic scientist and moth expert, had said about moths being sensitive to cold, she instructs her client to open the refrigerator door while she gives the voice command for something called "maximum overload." Which is, I'm sure, a standard feature on most modern smart fridges. Jacqueline, while still eager to acc...

Now pursued by a giant moth creature of unknown origin, Becky and Jacqueline make their way back towards the kitchen. Becky seems to have something in mind, but Jacqueline is more concerned about the moth's effect on her new laminate floor, and the fact that she is far nuder than she intended to be. Luckily, she's pretty understanding on that last count, so the show can continue!

We've reduced the shoe count to at least half on this page, so that should bring at least a partial smile to...

Jacqueline, having finally prised loose the stubborn grate, is looking to Becky for advice, but the exterminatrix is lost in thought, lamenting certain overlooked clauses in her contract. Those conditions, as they often do, have come home to roost and her ruminations temporarily distract her from the source of the wall sounds. To her credit, though, Becky is quick to return to the task at hand, staring into the red glowing eyes that lurk in the darkness of the vent.

I debated whether o...

Despite her rapidly eroding uniform, Becky makes an attempt to restore some kind of propriety to the making of this episode. She directs the camera operator to zoom in on her as she's speaking, but is not specific enough as to where the zooming is to take place. Noticing that her instructions have only been followed in word rather than spirit, she admonishes the camera operator.

Meanwhile, Jacqueline still struggles with the grate cover as we enter the second page in which we can't see ...

Finally remembering she's supposed to be on a TV show, Becky talks to the audience. filling them in on what's going on so far. Jacqueline is slightly preoccupied with working off a stubborn vent cover, and the camera crew continues its commitment to making the best show they can.

I don't think I need to belabour the intent behind this page, fans of the back exit will probably be able to figure it out. I decided to give Jacqueline what, in Pixar terms, would be termed a dumptruck early ...

Moving on from her strangely inhibited husband, Jacqueline seems intent upon bringing our brave exterminatrix into a dark corner of her home from whence the unsettling sounds have been emanating. Becky insists that this is outside of her field of expertise, especially considering she is now without her extermination equipment. But she is especially vexed by the sudden loss of her support garment, which is understandable on her part. Still, the show must go on: it's sweeps week, and the fans a...

Becky has a short chat with esteemed (and cocooned) scientist Charles McMullen, and while he doesn't give her much information, it's pretty clear that he's a genial man with great taste in wood panelling, pipes, and wives. Jacqueline is clearly still smitten with her spouse, and cuts the meeting short so he can have his afternoon nap. So enthralled is she, that she doesn't seem to have noticed that the moths have really gone to town on her outfit, blaming the sudden drop in body temperature o...

Happy Canada Day!

...or as you're most likely calling it: "Monday."

Just a very quick, moderately flawed doodle to celebrate the birth of the country I call home: Canada.

Sure we get clobbered in the winter, and sure there isn't a big variety of snacks compared to the United States, but it's a pretty good place to live otherwise, and I can't imagine holing up anywhere else.

Once again, this isn't the greatest thing I ever drew, (why do I keep buying brush pens when I prove again and again tha...

At last we meet Charles McMullen, beloved spouse of Jacqueline: a man of science who wants to save the environment through genetically engineered moths somehow. He's still hard at work, and even being cocooned seems to have done nothing to deter his tireless work ethic. Jacqueline still loves him despite his current situation, which I think we can all agree speaks well of her.

I'm not an etymologist, but I know that moths only cocoon themselves and not other creatures, but I felt the vi...

Becky follows Jacqueline as she leads her on what is fast becoming a tour of her admittedly lovely and well kept suburban home. Becky, sensing that the consultation has once again drifted off topic, gently prompts the proud housewife back onto the matter at hand. It's hard to blame Jacqueline for her attempts to flaunt her house a bit: a housewife takes a great deal of pride in the way she shapes her environment, and who among us hasn't taken the opportunity to show off now and again?

Becky has a quick word with her camera crew about priorities when it comes to having clothes treated to repel genetic super moths. Both sides are presented, ideas are shared, then certain aspects of the television business are touched upon which bring the discussion to a definitive close. It's resolved that regardless of her clothing's vulnerability to the moths, the show will continue. The moral of the story is that television, even for the on-air talent, is sometimes not as glamorous as it ...

I've mentioned before how I was surprised to learn that back on Deviantart, the most popular thing I ever posted (according to likes) was Becky the Exterminatrix. This was surprising to me for a number of reasons, not the least of which was the fact that it was a really old piece done when my art style was much less refined than it is now. (Not that my art style is in its final form at the moment either, but it's much further along than it was back then, art is a journey not a destination, ya...

As I recall, "Everyday Situations" dominated the other categories by a significant margin. even beating out "do whatever you want, Leg", which usually carries th...

Victoria and Friend in the Park

Hey! I meant to post this last week, but I just plum forgot. This was a commission (this one only took about eight months to get to) done for none other than Victoria. It portrays her doing some of her favourite pastimes: getting hot dudes and fooling those same dudes as to the size of her breasts!

Victoria wanted an x-ray effect to reveal her subterfuge to the audience, which seemed like it would be a piece of cake but turned out to be a bit of a bear to do. That last panel has about t...
