Sorry for making you wait! This particular art was very hard one.
But I also added one extra comic page as a thank you. Plus I thought the main piece didn't have enough... parts visible.
It is my first time drawing Venom, so I thought it will be interesting to share the process:
1) Draw the Venom shape with solid black color.
2) Choose the light source. Since you are basically drawing the slime, the light will be strong one.
3) Take thin, round brush and draw the main highlights along the edge. It is better to choose several points to draw the highlight a bit thick and drag it in between with thin line. Take a fingertip tool and smudg...

Initially I wanted to draw something sweet, like everyday life kind of thing, but somehow it turned into sad thing again.
I just kept on thinking how some (most) of the heroes in Marvel talk about Wade. And how hard it probably is for Peter to listed to it, if they want to keep their relationship private.

I usually don't use too many layers for both comic art and semi-realistic art. I find it too confusing if I have more than 4-5.
For lineart, it is usually three layers: borders, characters, and background.
