October sticker WIP

Happy almost halloween :D

day trip

Working more on the early bits of this story. Lark's home life in the original world idea was as a subsistence farmer and hunter who occasionally journeys to nearby villages to sell extra goods and trade for interesting trinkets. I tried to depict the journey there in this painting, as well as introduce more of the local wildlife :D

I've sort of been testing the waters with previous paintings (some of which may end up being used later) but I think this is the first one I'm really happy ...

Lark's House - thoughts & process pics

Her house! I'll try not to say too much of what i already said. I'm trying to refine my painting process a bit for landscapes to make them doable without intense amounts of prep work. This one was a bit unsuccessful in that regard as I had to go over a lot of detail passes (and generally speaking it's still not where I want it exactly).

That being said, I learned a lot here! This painting style is a bit blockier than I'm used to and I think I want to try and emphasize that more in futur...

Patreon hiatus in November

Gonna be taking a 2 week break from art in November to recharge the ol hands and eyes and unsmooth my brain. Patreon will be on hiatus. Standard disclaimer that you will not be charged if you stay pledged so don't worry about that.

Also said that I was going to start doing a change in the patreon ink sketches come November - that will prob get moved to December. Might come out slower (not sure yet).

Also sorry for the slow art posting this month. I've been in a bit of an art block...

The house at the edge of the world WIP

A WIP exploring Lark's home life as a little cat in her little home in the village that her family has lived in for generations amidst a group of jagged mountains known colloquially as the edge of the world (I haven't actually come up with a real name for them yet but it'll happen eventually).

For those of you that might remember, I actually painted this once last year when Lark (Fisher back then) first came into existence c: It's cool to see how things come around.

Changes to shipping pricing to Canada + Mexico

Sorry for the extra spam today - this is the last post (promise). 

Unfortunately, USPS raised their prices to these two countries by almost 50%. I'll have to start charging for shipping here. To those of you who are currently pledged from these two countries, you can stay grandfathered in on the original rates and do not need to update your prices. Thank you all for the support as always. It means a lot to me <3

Small update on postcard & sticker tier

I'm changing the print size from 6x4 to 5x7 as I've recently started using some much higher quality paper for my small prints. If you have a large print from me, it's the same luster material. Super nice looking under the light AND an entire extra 11 square inches per postcard... woah.

Requesting extra merch in packages

I've had a handful of questions recently regarding how to get extra merch or get merch from previous months. Just shoot me a DM with the extra stuff you'd like. It costs the normal price (except for large prints which are discounted at 20$ instead of their usual 30$ at con or online sales).

Changes to 9 Lives tier in November

Heyo!

Starting in November, the 9L tier will go from being a sketch commission every month to an ink or watercolor sketch of my decision every month. Specifically, I will think of prompts and draw up 10 themed sketches to mail out monthly. On occasion, I may still do OC prompts for that tier but the norm will be original art from me.

Hello!

Yall may have noticed I'm painting a lot of cats with fishing rods and witch hats (well one specific cat to be precise). I wanted to take a little bit of time to talk about my newest pet project that I'll be hopefully chipping away at for who knows how long.

Slight update to Nine Lives stuff

Thinking of doing little watercolor postcards as an alternate thing I do some months for the 9L tier. I did a test last night and I really liked how it turned out ^^

Due to the time it takes, the postcard would be whatever I feel like painting. On rare occasions maybe requests. This will take a bit before I start offering em but it's something to look forward to 

Slight delay on physical rewards this month

Hey yall,

The cutting mats I ordered for my die cutter ended up being defective and I had to order a new set. It may come around the start of August but I have rush shipping on it so hopefully it'll come sooner. Merch will ship out a few days late as a result. If you intend to cancel your sub after this month, you will still get the physical merch for July.

Digital rewards will still go out as normal.

Patreon content poll question

Hey yall!

I'm about to start creating a lot more traditional art b/c I've got a full space in the basement I can use 100% for art!

Did a theme thing for this month, just plain ol knights to start it out cus I do love to draw me some knights.

It went pretty well and I really enjoyed the creative freedom I got over some of them. I may do this again in the future with other themes. ^^

An update on comic stuff

So I wanted to talk about Dead Machine for a second, because it's been a bit since I've had the motivation to continue with it. Unfortunately, a lot of my issues about that pet project of mine was that for something that encapsulated the entirety of my world-building since 9th grade, it felt far too rushed for what I liked. The other issue was that, as I continued to push out comic pages, I realized that the format I was using wasn't really conducive to what I had in my head.

Happy post pride month!

We're back, here's one of the stickers I wanted to do for June but didn't have the time for.
