An update on comic stuff

So I wanted to talk about Dead Machine for a second, because it's been a bit since I've had the motivation to continue with it. Unfortunately, a lot of my issues about that pet project of mine was that for something that encapsulated the entirety of my world-building since 9th grade, it felt far too rushed for what I liked. The other issue was that, as I continued to push out comic pages, I realized that the format I was using wasn't really conducive to what I had in my head.

So what does that mean going forward? I still have thoughts about putting out a big narrative project, but I think that trying to force myself to do it in a comic format wasn't the best approach. Additionally, I think DM is the kind of project that I really want to be able to fully invest myself into making, rather than do as a side thing between other gigs.

That being said, I've been working out a few doodles here and there on a side project of mine which some of you may remember from a few sparse ideas that I floated around on Twitter. It's a narrative with a much lighter scope and explores themes that I think I'm more suited to delve into at this stage in my life (whatever that means). Pic related.

I'll also probably be looking into visual novel-esque storytelling instead of comics, and will share my progress as I make it here c:
