Not long after I got back from Europe some urgent issues came up that I can't discuss yet. It's mostly resolved for now so I can finally get back to drawing! Also sorry for those who messaged me and I haven't replied yet. I'll be working on getting through all the messages in the next day or two.
Here's a WIP of my modern day take on Princess Mononoke with wolves hiding in her clothes.
I always wanted to paint ice crystals forming on bubbles :D The background is inspired by a photo of dew/frost creating a rainbow of glistening lights.

Sorry for the long absence these past 2 weeks. I was away visiting my SO's family in Europe and didn't get a chance to draw until I got back. Europe was so beautiful and inspiring that I made this drawing based on the greenhouses and space exhibit in London. Inspired by all the amazing photos from the protests in Hong Kong. They are fighting for their freedom and democracy against China’s encroaching totalitarian rule.
As someone born in China and having seen all the horrendous abuse of power that happens without democracy, my heart is with the people of Hong Kong. I hope they will achieve their goals of freedom and inspire others to also fight for their rights to democracy.

Once Upon A Time
It takes hundreds to thousands of years for trees to grow into giants. Deforestation all over the world will leave nothing for the children to look up to. No more magic and wonder in their eyes, only the disappointment of how we failed them.

I recently watched BBC's Our Planet documentary and it showed both the beauty of our world and the destruction mankind has done to it. It's truly heart breaking but I hope we can come together and undo the damage to our home.
I've been cutting down on my carbon food print by eating a mostly vegetarian diet, donating to reforestation efforts and policy change to protect the environment. Small efforts add up and we can all change the world for the better :)
