Street Fighter II Complete Restoration!
You guys asked for more arcade videos, so here you go. While this is probably the 40th restoration we've done, this is the first one I recorded from beginning to end.

2024-03-07 02:58:45 +0000 UTC View PostI shared this on facebook yesterday, but for those that haven't seen it, I though you'd like to see me "go online" so to speak on the X16 using our new prototype Wi-Fi card.

Martin Galway is a famous musician in the world of video games, dating back to the early 1980s. He asked me to repair his Commodore 128D a while back and I'm finally done with it.
This video also has another special guest.
Subtitles and thumbnail to be finished tomorrow.

You guys asked for more, so here is another TimeRift video. It's quite short and to the point, just showing how I replace surface mount chips. In this case it is a bad ROM chip in a MarioKart arcade.
Speaking of repairs. I've been working on a regular 8-Bit Guy video for repairing Martin Galway's original C128D. But it is proving quite the challenge as it is both 240V and PAL, which is way outside my realm of expertise and equipment. In fact June fro...

Up to this point I haven't really made any videos on repairing arcades except for the moonbase cocktail table I did a few years ago. One reason is we just needed to "get the work done" and making videos takes a lot of extra time. But now that we're getting closer to opening the arcade (estimating June at this point) we're going to start making some of these short 5 minute repair videos, along with some other types of arcade related videos. These will be going on the "Time Ri...

***UPDATE*** I made a few changes including adding Celsius figures, but more importantly I added a whole new section at the end where I demonstrate the detector I was using isn't very accurate.
OK, this is the last of the "2023 projects" finally finished. So, from this point onwards I'll be focusing most videos on documentaries about old computers and game consoles.
This winter-time test was really tough because there was no sun the whole day due to a dark overcast, w...

Well, this video didn't turn out to be as exciting as I wanted it to be. The main problem was all of the footage was filmed over the course of a few hours on a single day on December 18th. Then I had to write the script, narrate, and illustrate everything after-the fact. Still, it's only like 14 minutes long, so give it a watch!

Hope you like this. We filmed this 3 weeks ago. It turned out pretty nice!

This is somewhat of a filler video as I didn't even plan to make this until a few days ago. I just decided on a whim to make it as I thought I could do so in 3 or 4 days. And apparently it took 4 days. So here it is. Thumbnail hasn't been done yet, though.
That being said, I'm going to have at least two more videos this month. One will be on some other rare prototypes in Bo Zimmerman's collection. The other will be on the Mega65.
I hope ...

Lots of people have asked for this over the years, and here it is. A big thanks to Bo Zimmerman for letting me borrow this for the video! Still haven't finished the subtitles, though.

This is just a quick update on the X16, letting everyone know it is on-sale, and some of the new features.
UPDATE: I reworked some of the video and fixed about 6 errors that you guys found during the first one.
Whew! I've been working on this for 6 weeks now. Of course, one of those weeks is when I went to VCF, so really more like 5. Still, this has been a long one! Hopefully you won't find any mistakes! But yes, I know there is a LOT of stuff I could have covered, but the video would have been super long!
Also, before this goes live to the rest of the w...
Just an update about VCF, drawing on dirty cars, and roadtripping with my smurfy Tesla Model 3.

This has been basically a year in the making. And it's kind of long, so settle in.
I'll get subtitles finished tomorrow, along with a better thumbnail.
OK, I had to put off the solar test video until next month. So I present you with this instead.

Sorry for the lack of content, as most of you know last month was insane for me trying to get all of those orders shipped. But, I think you'll find this update on the X16 interesting, even if you aren't necessarily interested in buying one of these.

Here's a video talking about what's been going on the last few months, and what is coming up next!

Sorry, the one I posted earlier was corrupted for some reason, so I've re-uploaded it. This is a long one. Lots of stuff to cover!

This has been on my to-do-list for several years and I finally managed to collect enough footage to make it actually happen.
UPDATE - I re-edited/uploaded because I had made a mistake on the Tandy 100/102.

This video shows some of the manufacturing struggles we've been dealing with, as well as a long Q/A session at the end of the video.
I have a few bigger projects in the works, which is why I didn't have any videos last month. But hopefully this fun little diversion will tide you over. Still working on a thumbnail, though.
This is a product I was sent for review a few months ago. Started work on it a few weeks ago, but kept having to put it aside. Finally finished.

Well, I was about half way done with a different video, then got hung up waiting for some parts, so I shifted gears over and finished this one. Working on subtitles now..

OK, so this is actually just a bit of filler material. But it does explain why I haven't had any videos in the last month as you'll get to see all of the things I've been working on. But hopefully you find it entertaining, at least!
I’m not sure how it is that I can attend these mega conventions and shake 1,000 hands in a day and not catch anything. But the last 3 weeks I basically haven’t left the house except to go grocery shopping. And somehow me and my mom (who lives next door) have it. She basically never leaves the house.
I’ve been sick for 4 days. My fever broke this morning and hasn’t returned. But I’m still coughing and have a headache. I’m cautiously optimistic that the worst of it is o...

Sorry for the lack of content lately. Been working on a lot of Commander X16 stuff, which I can't wait to show you, but that will have to wait another month or so. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this one!'
Subtitles and thumbnail will be done tomorrow.
been working on this for about 3 months. It's a bit long at 28 minutes. But I hope you enjoy!
It's been 3 years since the last update. I hope you guys will be as excited as I am about this product!
I've also started a fundraiser to help the team out. You can use the GoFundMe link in the video description, or you can use my website. I've setup a special donation item in the store. That way all of your money goes to the project instead of having to pay fees to GoFundMe.
Here you get three topics combined into one video. Only for 3 easy payments of $19.99! OK, you guys get it for free because you are so cool!
Anyway, this 15 minute video summarizes the entire last 8 or 9 days of my life. I hope you enjoy! Subtitles and proper thumbnail will be coming tomorrow!
