Commodore History Part 3 - The C64

Here's the long awaited part 3 of Commodore history.  However, this episode was so large I ended up splitting it into 2 parts.  So here's the first half, and expect to see the second half in February.

Strange that they changed the design, so now it doesn't match my other one!  Anyway, thanks everyone for help in reaching this achievement!

C64 documentary and Planet X3 Poll

Just FYI - I've started on the long-awaited Commodore 64 documentary.  I've put this off for a while because I knew it would be a huge project and take some time to make.  Also I figured it may be the most important video on my channel, so I wanted to make sure I got everything right.  I haven't even finished the script yet.  But I have an outline with 36 topics to discuss, which by comparison most of my videos have an outline with 5 to 10 topics.  This may even get spli...

Modern Toy Keyboards

In this episode I take a look at some of the modern toy keyboards.  I will probably not release this to the world until tomorrow because I'm concerned about YouTube flagging this video for a cover-song I did.

8-Bit Unboxing December 2017

Enjoy!  I was actually close to being done with an 8-Bit Keys video, but had to put it on hold to get this one out on time.  So expect to see that in a couple of days.  This will go live when I'm done with the subtitles and thumbnail.

Ad-Lib for the Parallel Port

I just finished this video, but I might not release this version.  Towards the end I tell everyone my shipment has been stuck in customs and it just arrived a few minutes ago.  So I might re-edit that part.  Nevertheless, you can enjoy this version for now!

Update for December

I'm taking a little break today, so I thought I'd give you an update on what has been going on and what I'll be working on this month.

First of all, I just spent the entire day yesterday (from about 10:00am until 10:00pm) packing and shipping the remaining Planet X2 backorders.  What happened is I thought I had enough materials to produce 300 copies here in the USA and I realized a few weeks ago that... Ooops.. I only had 200 of the cassette tapes.  So Anders immediately ordered...

Planet-X2, The Making Of.

OK, so this video has been a long time in the making.  I've spent the last 3 days editing it.  There are lots of surprise guest stars.  I hope you enjoy seeing how the game was developed, even if you don't have a C64 to play it on!

Full Sized K9 Replica

This is a bit unusual for my channel, but i think you'll like it.  One thing I should mention to anyone wanting to get a boxed copy of Planet X2.... Well, I've already sold 70 copies here in the USA and I haven't really advertised much other than here on Patreon and my facebook page.  I have about 230 copies left here and 200 will go on sale in a few hours in Europe.  However, at the end of this video I mention that the game is available and I wouldn't be surprised if the game sel...

Planet X2 finally revealed!

So the first review is out!  By the way, I had no influence on this review, I just sent Modern Vintage Gamer a beta copy and asked him to review it.  I really wasn't expecting him to do such a great job on the video.   I will be doing a video about this on my own channel, but I'll be covering more of the technical aspects of it's development. So I really like this review he did of the gameplay.  It's probably better than I could have done!  I also sent Metal Jesus R...

Update for October

You may not be seeing another video the rest of this month, so rather than leave you hanging, I thought I'd give you an idea what is going on.

First of all, I'm getting ready to leave for Portland in 2 days for the Retro Gaming Expo.  I hope to see some of you there.  So that's going to eat up some of my video production time.  I spent most of today working on my presentation for Saturday.

I have some neat products I'm going to be reviewing soon, but the videos have ...

Which music format do you prefer?

So, Anders Jensen and I were discussing the other day about bringing out new albums.  I have offered my album on CD, whereas he has been offering his on Cassette.  We also talked about vinyl.

Interestingly enough, CDs are actually cheaper if buying by the hundreds, where less than a hundred and cassettes seem to win out.  Vinyl is very expensive, and from what I could tell would probably raise the cost per unit by $5 or $6 compared to a CD or Cassette.

But the rea...

Commodore History Part 1 - The PET

Whew.. This video took me 8 days straight to complete.  Possibly a record. Much time was wasted struggling with capturing video from emulators and other things that wouldn't cooperate with me.   I could have probably made this video twice as long, but I settled on 20 minutes.  I actually think, while this video was interesting, the ones that come after it will actually be even more interesting.

Septemer - T-shirt-a-geddon and other misfortunes.

Well, September has gotten off to an odd start.  I planned this month to be my big "Commodore" series, and hopefully get another 8-Bit Keys episode produced as well.  I had the unboxing video finished on August 31, so I figured I had the whole month to work on this series.

Well, that hasn't worked out so far.

Over the labor day weekend, I had planned to tear down all of the sound-deadening foam on the walls of my studio and mount shelving brackets.  (I needed...

Advice needed on unwanted donations

I have a problem that seems to be escalating lately.   I've asked a few people already on opinions of how to deal with this, with some conflicting answers.  So I'm now asking for more opinions so I can get a wider range of answers.

Here's the problem, I've been getting a lot of donations lately that I didn't ask for.  With most of these, the person (usually a kid) emailed me about it, and I politely turned down the offer because it was total junk that I had no use for....
