Weaver #097 - Technically, it’s the same spot, according to the map

Chomp.

“Mmmm! Chat, this is absolutely delicious!” I exclaimed while probably making an expression like someone from a cooking anime.

Honestly, there was something incredibly peaceful about sleeping under a tree you had grown yourself.

Well, I hadn’t really done all that much other than forget about the fruit core, but still.

These fruits were such a breath of fresh air after days of nothing but pizza and octopus meat. The cheese I’d gotten from t...

I sighed.

“Look, all I’m saying is that the octopus was totally fine,” I argued, still perched near a wall, while my ultradry towel lowered the water level in the boss room. “Like, yeah, it would make sense that changing the flow of time for just one of my limbs would probably screw up with all sorts of things but… Well, it’s a magical world. It’s probably gonna work out.”

Weaver #095 - Remember me, calamari?!

I breathed out and smiled in relief as I looked upon the water park’s entrance archway that seemed a lot smaller than I remembered it.

“Hello there, old buddy. Long time no see.”

After a short bout of tree-walking training and sleeping through the night, I’d walked all the way back here. It had taken me almost the entire day, but it was actually faster than my first trip to the city dungeon.

Probably because I was taller now. And because I actually had a destination ...

February 2025 update

Hello, everyone!

I wanted to apologize for the lack of updates last month, but it really was hard to find the time and energy to write...

...Or at least, that was the excuse I would keep telling myself. But really, the main issue here was that I wasn't using the time and energy that I did have very wisely.

Ironically, the activities that were supposed to be me relaxing after work - playing video games and watching YouTube - were just draining the last bits of m...

A/N: There's a section in this chapter that's meant to have a different font and font size, but unfortunately, Patreon doesn't allow for that. (¬_¬")

So if you want, I included a pdf file with what this chapter should look like. Enjoy!

Into my backpack the huge sack of tomatoes went.

Just like the pots from the giant merchant’s – ogre’s? – floor, there was no reason for me to ignore all of this juicy stuff. More food variety could only be a good thing.

Once I pillaged as much as I could without risking passing the one hour time limit, I steeled myself, walked to the door, and opened it.

It led outside. A large empty area with dirt ground surrounded by walls on all sides. There were also several rac...

Weaver #092 - I’m not interested in room service!

Floor six was a sprawling kitchen. Sinks, counters, ovens, and bags – presumably filled with ingredients – filled the place. It kinda reminded me of the fast food buildings in the water park dungeon. Except for the whole non-euclidean maze thing, at least.

“Kitchen? Didn’t we already fight a cooking demon…?” I asked as I cautiously walked inside, eyeing the passageway on the other side.

Sure enough, once I got far enough into the room and the door slammed behind me, th...

January 2025 update

Happy new year, everyone!

I hope you're all still doing well! Thank you for still following/supporting me!

I'll be honest, I haven't gotten nearly as much writing done as I would have liked this past month. Not gonna lie, the first month in my new work was pretty brutal, mainly because of how hectic things were around Christmas, but it should (aledgedly) get better now.

We'll have to see, but I'm hoping to write somewhat regularly again now!

Besides that, I'm going to ...

I didn’t even shudder as I entered the city dungeon and instead leaned into the feelings of determination and comradery the dungeon injected into me. It felt that much more appropriate with Ebiko in chat again today.

I did my best to push away the fridge horror that was the incausal rift achievement names. There was absolutely no need for me to worry about them now when I was still so far away from even unlocking access to them.

December 2024 update

Hello, everyone.

I got some good news and some bad news.

It's actually the same news: I got a new job.

That means that I hopefully won't have to worry about money in the near future, but also, I'm going to have a lot less time and energy for writing from now on.

Of course, I appreciate every one of you who supported me throughout the time I didn't have any other income, but unfortunately, it's nowhere near enough to live off of. Which meant getting a 'real' job for the...

Weaver #087 - He didn’t even show me his wares

I furrowed my brows in confusion at the open square.

“Wait, what? No, I wanna continue, dungeon! Not go back!”

I closed the door, wished really hard to continue to the next boss, and then opened the door again.

Nothing changed.

I stared at the scene with more confusion.

Was… that it? That couldn’t be, right? As much as the archer had felt like the final boss to me, there had to be more to this dungeon.

My strategy was simple.

Gun and shield.

The first time I’d faced the archer, I could only try to dodge and was too slow to do so. But now I had a shield which hopefully could block her shots. Although if they were armor-piercing as so many people in chat had theorized, I would still have to do my best to dodge.

As for my offense, I would use my gun self’s crystal shower setting.

Why?

Because this enemy was nimble, but ultimately squishy. It was easy ...

Unfortunately, even after wandering around in the darkness – ugh, after that boss, it really unnerved me, even with Heat Vision and the light from Flameguard – for a little while, all I managed to find was the end of the hole.

It just… ended. There was nothing interesting at the end.

Well, okay. Maybe being able to walk inside the half-sphere the hole had ended with had been pretty cool with how the gravity smoothly changed, but that didn’t change the fact that I couldn’...

As I walked around the rim of the hole, feeling like I was on a ringworld, I arrived at one of those vibrating cracked rocky places I’d seen before.

It made me wonder just how the heck it could keep vibrating like this. What powered it? What had caused it to be like this?

It was this goblin-like horn...

Unfortunately, both the gun and my clothes only accepted one type of mana each. I’d tried testing it and they both basically worked like a battery. Or maybe a capacitor. They stored additional power and I could draw on them at any point to either restore my own reserves or to use them directly. It helped that both of them were essentially me, so it was kind of like holding something in one hand but being able to pass it to the other hand at any time.

Miracle of all miracles, no monsters spawned while I lay there uselessly in the middle of a dangerous dungeon.
