The big challenge regarding her concept drawings was about finding an interesting clothing style which fits to her duty as a captain but makes it also easy to fight.

I wanted to create some new fullbody artworks since my older ones are more than two years old and also consisted dull color pallets and strange poses of the characters.
I think Winrow's new pose works better now although something about his right half still bugs me. Must be because his silhouette looks strange too. I once told you about the importance of a distinctive silhouette that supports the recognition value of a character design. Color palettes are an essential part of it as well...

So on this page a bit of Woodstock's narrow-mindedness shines through. He isn't easy to draw because I have keep so many details for his look in mind, but it still makes fun because of his distinct facial trademarks.

The highly acclaimed anime of "Kimetsu no Yaiba" finished airing just recently and it inspired me to several fanarts. One of them is a scene which depicts the protagonist Tanjirou together with the 3 girls from the Kochou household.

The two wives of general Gremorey during their time as young maids of the Malevolus household. At first glance they look like sisters. Rayn (on the left) is Winrow's mother while Chaleure is Chaudine's (on the right). Chaleure is an illegitimate child and therefore was abandoned by her family while Rayn was a runaway.

This month was a tedious one full of overwhelming paperwork. I really hope that I reached the end of this pile of unnecessary work. Also intended to upload two pages but with all those interruptions it was a real challenge to keep the flow up.

I decided to give Yae a fullbody shot since she was barely seen on the last page also to feature her clothing trademarks. We are also getting a closer look at the three unconscious characters.

Finally!
Basically it's an introduction scene for both, detective Woodstock and Yae Noel the paramedic. Since she has a christmas-themed look I also thought it would be funny to give her mount bird a similar design. The feathering around its neck resembles a wreath while the head feathers and the tail resembles a leaf of a mistletoe.

Well, I changed the script the last days a bit to get a better structure concerning all the change of locations. One of those changes is associated with the introduction of the paramedic Yae Noel who will now appear on page 9 instead of the end of the chapter.
Also once again I take the chance with page 8 to explain the mechanic behind the obolus to help readers to get a better grasp of the magic system in my manga.

It's time for Tsulin to shine.
The biggest challenge was the visualization of the clashing impact on both pages. That was a good opportunity to test out the new sketchier pen tool which allowed me to draw more dynamic strokes. It took a bit longer to figure out some good poses and correct all the mistakes since I often tend to swap the position of Tsulin's sword and shield especially while I wa mirroring the canvas.

Yae will be introduced at the end of this chapter together with her mount Chiki the kimchiwi. Kimchiwis are huge birds known for their high-speed skate-like movement on ice. Yae Noel is a paramedic from Dadivan Island which is also the original homeland of the kimchiwi.

Whew, the new colored introduction pages are done!
