I like to take things that ultimately mean nothing as a sign of something good. There's no real harm in doing that, as far as I've found.

And the soup in question! I don't always take pictures of all the foods I make from the vegetables from her garden or the stuff we've foraged from their nearby woods, but it's a regular enough occurrence.
Also, here's something that I can't make a comic about because both of our moms read it: I regularly re-gift things I've gotten from my mom to his mom and vice cersa. Middle-aged moms like things that middle-aged moms pick out.

My spine horrifies people. For some reason me and my sister are built - in my mother's words - "like a pike (the fish)", with an unusually long back proportionally. This is convenient to me, because though both me and my bf are the same height, and both want to be the big spoon, I usually get to be it because I'm better suited.

Fun fact: I literally cannot tell apart whether I am mentally or physically unwell. I spent like 3 days scolding myself for being unmotivated, not getting out of bed and not getting anything productive done before I realised I have a fever.

This one was actually 100% based on a real incident. The season of baby seagulls running around the city causing trouble and calling for their parents when they find it is almost over now, but we looked for that seagull for an unreasonably long time.

You know that feeling when nothing's wrong and nothing feels particularly bad, you've just got a weird feeling that you're feeling weird, and can't quite figure out how to shake it off?
Food, sleep, a hug, and trying to do something else usually helps.
90% of my boyfriend's wardrobe is tactical/camping gear or bought from military surplus stores. While I prefer high-quality and enduring clothes and avoid fast fashion, doesn't quite understand why I prioritise clothes by appearance, rather than how well they do with rough outdoor use.

With the fox comics, I have a set of rules and limitations when it comes to what the aesthetic of the comics dictates - and one of them, naturally, is "nothing involving hands or feet". There's a saying in finnish, "fire is a good servant, but a poor master", which roughly translates to "heating your house is good, burning your house is bad" - you have to keep an eye on fire, and make sure it serves you and your purposes.
