Communications

This conversation 100% happened, pretty much exactly like this.

Toddler combat

Parents always look so apologetic and embarrassed while trying to wrangle their little knee-height all-terrain destroyers, and I don't know if it would make it better or worse if I told them "no it's okay, this is highly entertaining."

Water animations

So this is what I've kind of been fixated on recently - I figured out how to make water rippling animations on Gimp and have been mostly doing that.

View Post

Too many options

I have no idea why there must be so many toothpaste kinds. I might have used toothpaste completely wrong my entire life and not even know it.

View Post

Hospitality

In my defense, I've only used them one at a time, not all of them all at once, emptying every bottle.
In the other news, my skin is nicer than it's been in years.

What I've been up to - Flashing gif warning!

I've spent most of my vacation time learning more about making gif animations. It's been so hot we've been sleeping over at my boyfriend's parents' place, coming home during the day and going back there every evening to sleep, as they have air conditioning. It's been too hot to do much else than sit in front of a fan, so I've been learning more about how to make animations.

Summer break

Time to take my two weeks off for the summer! I'll probably still be sharing other random freetime art on Patreon if I make any. Everything is voluntary for now. See you all in two weeks!

Volume control

This, too, is something I keep doing. I have no idea why I do it, I logically know that just because I don't hear him easily doesn't mean that he wouldn't hear me.

Tin food

This is a thing, by the way. Gives the tuna a nice, smoky taste.

Animation experimenting

My art interests function cyclically, evidently, and just now it has looped back into making animations. Here's another rough illustration of how my animation clean-up process works. Also jiggle physics are fun to draw.

Heated moments

It's 26,9 celsius indoors, in the coolest corner of the apartment. We have no AC and keeping the balcony door open doesn't help when it's just as hot indoors as outdoors. Time to escape to my boyfriend's parents' place to play Warhammer.

Scent and sensibility

Based on a true incident. I got an interesting milk soap as a gift and now that my boyfriend said that, I can't disconnect the thought drom the scent.

View Post

Safety signs

I took a photo of the signs that inspired this comic. See those tiny printed little white papers there? They are there to warn you that you are directly in the middle of Seagull Attack Zone.

View Post

Bachelorette party

This literally happened today. Hence the art quality. I drew this and am currently typing this at the party right now.

See you all later!

Putting the fun in social functions

This was supposed to be my midsummer comic, but I didn't finish it in time. I normally meet my friends like 3-4 times a year, and it's so refreshing to finally get to spend 12-16 hours in a room with 12 other people who also have ADHD.

50-50 odds of always being wrong

I have no idea how I always manage to guess this kind of things wrong. It's the opposite of a skill.

View Post

A sudden urge to climb

I have no idea where this one came from.

View Post

Colour names

I confess, I'm completely hooked on watching those things, especially the ones that have these extremely oddly specific names for the colours. I am an ipad baby.

View Post

Biological gardening

This is a conversation we had with my boyfriend's mom. I had to look up what the anti-bug bugs were called in english, and I'm still not 100% sure.

View Post

Magpie

All the way until the 3rd panel, this is roughly how it happened, though the magpie was also surrounded by three other magpies (who were also yelling) who fled before we got close. But it would've been funny if it had been a bird ruse to steal an unlocked car.

View Post

Heating

We're still working on air conditioning options. It's really inconvenient to plan meals around not being able to use the oven or the stovetop to cook.

View Post

Financial disputes

The original punchline was going to be something along the lines of "I want to buy the luxury of not hearing you complaining about not having money", but it was both too long and clunky to fit into comic, and also far too mean-spirited.

View Post

Spice detection

It's honestly amazing how spice tolerance leads to spice blindness - you literally cannot even taste what's supposed to be the spice in something.

View Post

Packaged

The problem when both you and your partner have facial hair, and at least one of you has lip/nose piercings: sudden unexpected electric zap kisses.

View Post

The Vegetable

Now that I've tried them, I absolutely love daikon radishes. They're not the size of me, but they are certainly the size of my forearm.

View Post

Anchored

He keeps me in place, I keep him from growing moss.

View Post

The boat!

No photos because the boat on display was a military boat, and photography was prohibited. But the bird was a great cormorant!

Solutions

I try to keep each comic as a contained story, without any overarching plot, but this week's three comics are things that all happened, on the same journey - although the bike-walking rain tent solution fortunately only happened on our way back, and just a stone's throw away from home.

View Post

Activities

We have been going about on bikes a lot recently. Neither of us enjoys exercise for exercise's sake, but somehow going places - even just to the grocery store - is more fun and meaningful for motivation.

Spell: "Summon love"

Almost everything is a verbal spell. You can get a surprising amount of things done simply by saying the right words in the right order.
