Sketch: April showers

The top request this month was suggested by Megs! "Maybe it rained and Aziraphale is being chivalrous and carrying Crowley because Crowley is all dolled up with expensive high heel shoes on and there are mud puddles."

I wanted to try and make this the original piece this month, so this is the paper sketch. I don't think I've actually drawn one carrying the other! Shocking that there's still stuff I haven't done after all this time. You guys have such good ideas.

Blanket fort

Husbands get cozy in their blanket fort, with some cab sav and a game of Othello, and probably some music on. What's super cozy music? Let's go with Madeleine Peyroux. Will Crowley cheat or play fair? Depends on the stakes, I guess. Winner has to kiss the loser.

OFMD (spoilers): La vida es dolor

Anyone who says otherwise is selling something.

I just had this urge to draw Stede and Edward and Westley and Buttercup. I know it's sad, but their story is kind of sad. At least for now. Crossing our fingers for the rest of the story.

The demon bound in light. I had this vision of how I wanted to do the skin, and it turned out just how I intended, which is really nice. I feel like from the sketch to final his attitude shifted from struggling to being like, kind of in command? But I don't know, I'm curious how it reads to other people.

Blackbeard

I don't expect I'll do too much OFMD art, but damn, this man is just too beautiful not to try a few times. It's the sappiest, most on-the-nose thought I've ever had, but his hair is so much like waves on the water. Get close enough and you can hear the ocean.

Come to the fair! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ‹๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒโ˜€๏ธ

My piece for the upcoming Our Side Zine: Rainbow edition! I had said I was done with zines, but when they told me I could have yellow, I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and it turned out pretty much just as I pictured it, which is rare. I cannot tell you how badly I have craved a real lemonade and carnival fries with ketchup the ENTIRE time I was doing this.

Do you think Crowley would actually challenge themself, or would they cheat to win all the prizes? I think I would cheat, but on...

A coupla sad bastards do some day drinking. What's on the menu? Rum! But ALSO:

+ The final piece for the rainbow zine with the carnival! I'm so stoked, it's already very pretty, but I'm a sucker for yellow, so I'm biased
+ Gonna finish up the blanket fort because I picked a really nice sherbety palette
+ More Candy Tongue! At LEAST another page, more if I can swing it
+ A shop update! I have a handful of new prints and those cute acrylic pins I completely forgot to put up in Ma...

March timelapses & Lucky Cat drawing

So, first of all: my printer is out of ink, and I'm too sick to go to the store, so I wasn't able to do my usual names-in-a-bowl thing. I downloaded the spreadsheet of Lucky Cats and used a random number generator, and the winner this month is Arej H! Sorry I don't have a little video, but hopefully next month I'll have that sorted.

Here's a compilation of some of the pieces I did this month, posted to Google drive because there's that casual nudity.

Yellow moon

This may or may not have been inspired by a certain heartbroken pirate from a certain gay pirate show, which I quite liked but am not ready to explore art-wise just yet. But Crowley has had his own reasons to be melancholy over the millennia. His go-to is probably to get drunk and nap for 86 years.

Hey, thanks for sticking with me, especially when I've been too busy to respond to your wonderful comments. You're a great crew and I treasure you. โค๏ธ

Some new and a couple older ones! I censored the casual nudity on the picnic blanket piece with a daisy. If you really want a wiener on your phone, you know where to find it (and I respect it). I really love the orange tree piece I did for my endpaper. I might make that my wallpaper. There are also desktop version of some of these, which you can find in your respective Google drive folders. Enjoy! โค๏ธ

March coloring pages

Not too much to offer for coloring pages this month, but some fun stuff, hopefully! I really want to see how others would color Crowley and his barrel of cheez puffs.

JPGs (pictured), PSD and transparent PNG files can be found in the coloring page folder in your respective Google drive folders. You are free to share your coloring on social media, and I'd love a tag so I can see your work!

Cake roll

This is really simple, so I'm hoping it's not a disappointment. It's still fun and cute, but it's not, you know, a masterpiece. It absolute did make me want a cake roll. ๐Ÿ“Plus, I didn't want to hurl my watercolors against the wall at any point, which is always a win!

Just wanted to let you guys know this will be done today, and I'll draw a Lucky Cat name ASAP! I'm sorry the paintings are always so late in the month. It's been weirdly busy!

Scissor & Ink: designing at home

This would have to be Anthony's flat, not just because of the tree, but because he likes to keep his space very tidy and chic, except for the room where he stores wigs, which he styles for the local drag queens. That's a disaster area of products, mannequin heads, boxes of wigs and falls, and the walls are tarped like Dexter's kill room to keep hairspray and glitter from sticking to everything. The rest of the flat is spare and organized, and Ezra likes to hang out there and work on tattoo de...

Underthings

I watched this video of a gal showing how ladies used to get dressed in 1896 and I thought the undergarments were so cute! The whole look was cute and I may do more with that later, but I couldn't resist a very soft fem Aziraphale putting on all that fussy stuff. And while I watched the video I thought Why would she put her shoes on before the corset even? Then realized once your corset is on you can't reach your fuckin feet. But if she needed to get the shoes off for any reason, I a...

NSFW: sunnin' buns

Yall's top request this month by a mile (suggested by lovely Jillian) was non-sexual nudity. It's such a sweet idea and I really enjoyed doing this. It's not "refined", but it feels correct. All the little wildflowers make me happy and remind me of when I was a kid -- I used to love making teeny tiny bouquets of the smallest field flowers for my mom, wrapped in a piece of grass.

What's Aziraphale reading? What do you think Crowley's dreaming of?

NSFW: Candy tongue (part 10)

Things are getting monstery in the bedroom. Crowley's really trying to hold it together. Featuring the first time I've ever done an x-ray type panel, and I hope it makes sense. I looked at diagrams, and y'all, I learned a lot.

Thank you for being so patient with these! The comic pages take me a REALLY long time, but I love doing them.

Do you like when I include the previous pages? Should I just include the last previous page, or none?

New tier: Nazar!

My tiers are in the theme of lucky items: four-leaf clover, ladybugs, the lucky cat. Joining us is the nazar boncuฤŸu, the blue glass eye amulet that protect against the "evil eye" in Turkey.

The $7 Nazar tier will open at 00:00 Hawaiian time (or as close as I can get) on April 1st, and I'll open 80 places. I don't expect them all to fill up, but you guys have shown a lot of interest, so if they do I'll see about increasing the slots. This tier will inc...

Queen

The queen is displeased. Has the palace run out of figs? Is her love letter from Marc Aziraphale late? Did Hell credit her for the latest random plague of scarabs?

As my first ever repaint, I think this came out really nice! It's still more me than Waterhouse (his original painting is the last slide), but for someone who never does this kind of thing, I kinda pulled it off. The black flowers are Royal Poinsianna, which are actually a vivid magenta, but let's just pretend there's a black...

WIP: Come to the fair!

I've been piling a LOT of WIPs on you guys, I promise I'll finish something here. But this is for an upcoming zine! It's rainbow-themed, and I got yellow (natch), so this will mostly be in yellow. I knew instantly what I wanted to do, and I think I pulled it off (so far). How many plushies will they walk out with? Surely Aziraphale will take them all to his local shelter the next day.

I love carnivals, I go just to stand on the midway at dusk and look all around at the rainbow ...

WIP: Cleopatra Crowley

I finally, after MONTHS, like... six friggin months decided to get brave and start coloring this. This is my first ever repaint (Cleopatra by John William Waterhouse), and I'm really happy with it so far. It helps to have a guide right in front of you, though I'm having to wing it on the hair and snake. Oy, the snake. I don't think I'm done with the hair yet. But I wanted to share the progress with you guys, because this is gonna take me a little while.

Snack run (& March menu)

I have just been informed that it is an American thing to have gallon jugs of milk and juice, so my apologies for the regional discrepancy. Crowley's just there for some yogurt anyway. No one at the grocery store will have any memory of his being there, certainly not in Crocs.

What's on the menu for March?

Well, firstly, if you have not seen on social media, I'm selling postcards for Ukraine; I had a ton of extra Lunar New Year dragon postcards, and if you want to grab on...

Orange honey

An angel daydreams in the orange grove ๐ŸŠ

Gotta be a record for how quickly I managed to start and finish a traditional piece! This is watercolor, finished with Prismacolor pencil, because it was looking a mess before I went at it with pencils. On a personal note, since I've been taking mood stabilizers, the biggest change has been that I like my own art, finally. I don't think it sucks, I have faith that I can make something good and worth people's time. I can say I think I ...

WIP: orange honey

She's back with the oranges! I love em. I realized I really can't do that pillow fort piece as a traditional drawing, it would lose all the little details. So I tried to just draw straight on paper, no tiny or digital sketch, which I haven't done in a while. And my man came out pretty good! You know I'm a Crowley girl, but Aziraphale wins "most kissable" every time.

Now let's see if my slow ass can color this in the next few days so I can r@ffle it to my Lucky Cats!

Colored! Thanks again to pyracantha's brilliant mind for suggesting this and for the rest of my Lucky Cats for voting for the idea.

It does make me wonder how they would even wind up doing this, because you know the last thing either of these two would want is to hit the other. I feel like it would take some cajoling from Aziraphale to get Crowley to really grasp that he wanted it. First time he tries probably gets an eye-roll from Aziraphale. "I asked for a sp...
