Late Shadow Update (3/17/23)

Will try to finish the shadows tonight after work. You all saw my post from yesterday morning how I'm in some conflict with my family, but, on that same night, I was kept up by my apartment neighbor. I think they had a birthday party. A lot of people were leaving at 12 am, and there was an annoying smell of weed. A fun party is preferable over domestic violence at least. :<

Also had to finish up some paperwork for my job hunt yesterday. I took a quiz on Excel. Hope it works out.

Cover's done! Though now that it's been a day later I think I overdid it with the highlights. I'll fix it up later because I'm tired of looking at it. lol

I also adjusted the color of the fox's gums. While it's too late for me to fix the 'smile' I did think they were too red. I'll fix the color on the pages too if you guys like the change.

Special thanks to Webhawk for giving me the suggestion on how to make the wagging tail more whooshy. I think it turned out really nice compared to my original intention!

Knot an Egg: Page 1 Edits

I made an attempt to follow Thruster_Check's criticisms and age the coop a bit. Added some lines for wood pattern, and dirtied the textures a bit. Also added chicken poop. :p It's the only thing they make more than eggs. I put in the 1st page before the edits as well if you want to see the difference. Touching the page up also made me realize I had a color layer off for the first panel. 

Knot an Egg: PG 1

Experimenting with a different and simpler coloring style. I like it so far, but let me know what your thoughts are if any stick out very strongly. I'll probably make some fixes as I'm trying to figure out what I want for this one.

Also, since I figured out a title for this comic, I'll draw a cover up before I make this one public.

LMASL Book version 1 has arrived!

Alrighty, if you don't have time to watch the video, here is a summary of my thoughts.

• Colors are too dark.

- This is my fault. I really should have submitted the files as CYMK, not RGB. CLIP honestly doesn't make color correction as easy as Photoshop, but I do have Photoshop myself. It's a little surprising just how dark they came to be because I did go through every page and brighten the shadows up. This should be an easy fix. 🤞

Smaller progress after work

Just a heads up: there might not be any progress pics for tomorrow morning. My sister had two babysitters bail on her today unexpectedly, so I’m just going to watch her kids tonight.

Patreon Sketchs: Feb 2023

Didn't get as much work as originally planned for this weekend. Please enjoy this sketch, and there will be WIP for the new comic tomorrow morning. I think my ducks will be lined up correctly this week as it goes along.

LMASL Book update 1

After the cheetah and emu comic I spent the rest of the night working on correcting the colors, adding page numbers, and getting LMASL ready for print. I think I got everything I was supposed to do done correctly. The website has a slight learning curve, but was petty easy overall.

So the 1st draft of the book is expected to be delivered on the 17th if it’s not outright rejected first. The price of the book was fairly nice, but, bro, why is the shipping $16? It we...

Never drew an emu before, so studies needed to be made.

Also never saw an emu penis before. Google provided none for me, but there were plenty of ostrich penises. They were hard to draw because they were all twisty. :/

LMASL: Back Cover complete!

Back of the comic is complete. So, I guess this weekend, after I finish the single page comic of the emu & cheetah, I'll mess around with the files and see if I can get a book self-printed. I've never worked with color in regards to self publishing. It might be a pain to get the colors looking right. Maybe I can use FedEx's self printing to see if the files hold up in real life. Wish me luck!

I did feel sick today and did not feel like going to work, so I finished this instead lol....

Sketches for Fox & Chicken story are done!

Got started yesterday and finished today. All of the pages are sketched out. Only the cover isn't drawn, though I don't know if this story needs one. I think it looks very nice, and I hope you all enjoy the pages when they're ready to be drawn!

I think it might be reasonable for me to get started after this upcoming single page comic.

Komodo Gang Bang

Thanks for all of the votes for the first single-page quickie! I didn't prepare as well as I should have this week, but I have a better understanding of what the workload is like now, so I'm looking forward to getting started on the next one.

I had hoped the Poll would shift to the front after the end results, but oh well.

Any who, we have four contenders: capybara, parakeet, Komodo dragon, and Hyena. This will be an interesting comic. I just need to get my bearings, but I believe it shouldn’t be any trouble for me to have something finished by the end of this weekend.

Welp, that's that. One of the largest comic pages I've ever finished. And without missing an upload date! In the future that isn't likely to happen again, but man do I feel awesome right now.

I'm going to work on the back cover now, but a little more slowly than a regular pages while I work on new short comics. The poll ends tomorrow, and it has some very interesting choices on it. I hope you all will enjoy the final product.

One of my favorite lizards, but I don't think I've ever drawn it. Also no photos for penises, so I had to mix and match with monitor lizard, bad dragon dildo, and make shit up. Still not happy with it, I'll probably simplify it later.

The 1st WIP for the last page will be delivered tomorrow. I do have to work on a back cover if I want to attempt to put a possible book together. If the plans for a physical book don't work out, at least I can go back to my original plan of an e-book.
