Rad Alt Costume - Headless Horseman Concept

Hey Patrons!

Here's an update on the winning costume on the Twitter poll: Headless Horseman!

We're gunna try some tricks to get the fire hair to look cool in Unreal as well as some other effects to make the clothes looks like they're ripping and floating away. Can't wait to keep workin on this one!

Also, included alt color for the hair cuz we're not sure which looks the best.

Various Menu Concepts

As we've been working hard on getting progression workin in Rad Venture, we've taken the time to go back and rework the look of some menus and create some new ones.

First we have a new main menu. We're thinking about moving the camera closer to Vistabell to make it less noisy, possibly up in the cliffs overlooking the city.

Second is the Options menu. It already has some functionality, but it's still a way from being fully implemented.

Rad Venture - Jump Animation and Wall Slide Update

Hey Patrons! I spent today learning that Lloyd set up Rad's anim BP to allow for multiple and random animations. So, I made a few more jump animations that'll randomly play while you jump. I took inspiration from Psychonauts 2 for it!

Duck Robot

DUCK ROBOT!!!!

I made this guy over the weekend and we have some fun plans for them!

We'd like to eventually make them a little guy you can customize by changing their name and giving them little hats! They'll also emote and stuff

Since we started work on creating assets for the Augmented Reality Arena, we've also started to remake some of Ducktor's devices.

Augmented Reality Arena - Asset Progress

Hey Patrons!

We've started working on the level geometry and assets for the Augmented Reality Arena!

We've started to incorporate more yellow/orange into the pallet and we hope it looks good. We're still testing out some hologram effects for various decorations. We've also created the level in kitbash parts so we can easily create the platforms we need for each arena quickly.

We're hoping to have the UI for it up and running soon so we can playtest the levels more easily! View Post

Synergy City / Final Level Progress

Hey Patrons!

We're finally in the homestretch when it comes to greyboxing Rad's world! We are currently greyboxing the 2nd hub, Synergy City, and the 3rd boss gauntlet that accompanies it.

The plan is for this last part of the game to be one long gauntlet split into 3 parts that can be played all in one go or with breaks in the middle where you can leave and come back later.

The level is currently around 2/3 of the way complete. Once it's done, all of the main gameplay areas...

Headline Street - Club Smooth Interior Progress 2

Hey Patrons!

Here's an update on the interior of the Club Smooth portion of Headline Street. We're almost done with the props and level geo, but it's enough to be mostly playable and look good!

This was also a good way of testing Unreal Engine 5's new lighting method: Lumin! You can expect the rest of the game to use Lumin moving forward.
