Just a quick update on the progress of the NPCs.
Male 1 has one outfit so far, but Female 1 has 2 outfits, all with modular colors.
Before rigging begins, I still need to make one more outfit for the male as well as another hair style, then I need 2 hair styles for the female.

We've spent the first half of the week trying to figure out how NPCs should work again lol end me
Here are some of my thoughts, I might make it into some documentation later on once its working.
We're basically gunna have all NPCs use the same skeleton and animation blueprint in Unreal, but new body types will share the skeleton with a parent NPC skeletal rig.
It's super confusing and I'm barely comprehending it.

Here are a few progress shots of the wip boss arena platform for the Missile Monarch boss fight.

Just a quick update, but most (if not all) of Shiver Swamp's ground meshes will be finished by the end of the day, and hopefully we can delete the terrain since we don't need it any more.
A good chunk of Shiver Swamp's base walls and floors should all be in for next month's build!

We've done a little more work on Ducktor's Doodads, so I thought I'd make an updated and bigger post about it (this menu probably won't be in the game for a few more months, as we don't even have many gadgets or upgrades yet).
This post goes through the planning of the menu to where we are now, including some GIFs for different parts of the menu.

Here's the start of the Ducktor's Doodads menu blueprint. Not much is programmed at all, I'm just setting up the widget and making sure it works in the blueprint.
Ducktor is being projected onto the screen and is recorded in another room somewhere in the level. I think it'd be neat to have him greet you when you enter and animate as you navigate the menus!

Here's a short clip of the Missile Monarch boss in action. Lloyd is workin his butt off to get this thing movin and attacking and it's comin along!
The panning texture for the background isn't final, I just wanted to see what it'd look like lol

You should see them in the next build, granted, as static meshes. They probably won't be rigged or animated for another month or so, but there will at least be new character models to look at!

Next month's Patreon build will have a bunch of tweaks and fixes to UI. The first bit we're workin on is the main game's hud.
Colors are being changed and the style is being updated. From now on, purple panels will only display text or information while purple panels with green inside of them will act as buttons.
Lastly, on the bottom of Rad's health will show 2 more buttons for R1 and R2. These buttons will activate the Gadget Wheel and Sprint/ Hover respect...

Hey all, check out our redesigns of some older Rad characters. These guys will be the first NPCs added to the game once we get around to it.
These concepts aren't final just yet, but they're getting there.
If you're unfamiliar (besides Rad), these are Stanley, Ducktor, and Redux (from left to right).
Some fun facts about them, Ducktor's design was inspired by Dr. Coomer from Half-Life 1 and Redux's design was inspired by Steve Harwell from Smash Mouth!
