Been working on re-redesigns of Ducktor and Redux to better fit the new game's style. Still working on Redux, but I'm pretty satisfied with Ducktor so far.

Real quick, I just recorded an update video, but it's like 20+ minutes and almost 3GB, so it'll take a day or two to upload it to YouTube. Sorry!
Anyway, the reason the last build was delayed was because our foliage was too intense and not optimized enough. So, this month we've worked on optimizing it some more. Been workin hard the past couple days on a test for modular NPCs.
Basically, we'll be able to make a bunch of NPCs by swapping out different parts to get different results. This will only be used for hub worlds to fill them with NPCs instead of making hundreds of unique ones.

Yo, I thought it'd be a neat idea to sorta give an update on the plans for each month's builds and what you can look forward to for the next builds!
This month we're working on quality of life changes as well as cracking down on props/ assets and updating some greyboxes.

Hey guys, Brandt here.
We recently discovered that either Epic Games and Unreal Engine has dropped support for Windows 7 or there is a bug causing builds made in Unreal Engine Update 4.25+ to not work on Windows 7 machines.
There is no fix for this currently, so the only suggestion is to wait for Unreal to update again and hopefully fix the issue.

Some progress shots for Missile Monarch's model, which is almost done, we're in the rigging phase currently and there will be more updates to the textures. This boss won't be available for a while now, but she's pretty cool so far!

We're taking a more linear approach to levels and it seems to be working pretty well. You'll be able to travel to and play through Shiver Swamp in the next build!

Work on the updated Shiver Swamp level has started. In the next build, you SHOULD be able to seamlessly travel between Vistabell and Shiver Swamp with no loading (that's the goal, at least)!
The map is just to get scale and general layout. The final level will be much more in depth that this.

Some concept art we've been working on for the lamps of Vistabell.
Sticking to the theme and colors established in our documentation, you'll find warms colors clashing with the mystical blue colors from the magic crystals used as a light source within the lamps. The "Bell" part of Vistabell has been incorporated as the lamp cover shape.
We also plan for the crystal and lamp top to be floating in the upright images above. The crystal will spin and hover in place.

Spent all morning trying to figure out how we would pull off NPCs. After that nightmare, I got to work conceptualizing some.
We're going to start with a couple different body types and they'll all have exchangeable clothes. Eventually we'll even have different heads that can be swapped in and out to give more uniqueness to the NPCs.

Say hello to the Gadget Shop! Well, the test for it.
Using this robot, Ducktor, the town's local scientist, can aid Rad by exchanging Rad's Stardust for new gadgets and upgrades, which can either enhance Rad's abilities, give him new abilities, or give him access to machines for different purposes.

Getting close to finishing the greybox for the new Vistabell.
Here you can see a zoom-out of the whole world so far.
The other two images show transition zones between levels. These will be used to load and unload parts of each level to make the world seamless. The first transition zone is called the Waterworks and is the link between Vistabell and Shiver Swamp!

We've done more progress on the hub. Mostly finishing parts of the city that needed fleshing out (city hall and fountain square).
Also added a new lagoon platforming challenge and worked on the beach.
