Today has been one of the most surreal and perturbing days of my life.

It is one of those days that reminds me how easily I have taken the better days for granted, and I while I know how impractical this regret is, I wish I had taken better advantage of every ounce of coherent togetherness. It's amazing how quickly life as you know it can become horrifyingly unrecognizable.

These are just thoughts as I deal with grief and coping. Thanks for allowing me to share with you.

Because life has been tense, challenging, and emotionally exhausting as of late, here is a silly behind the scenes shot, taken by George Streng during The Desert Adventure last month.

Yesterday, the man who has been sharing a room with my Grandfather at the nursing home passed away. So, as you can imagine, spirits have been down. Fortunately, we had some beautiful weather yesterday, and I was able to get him out in the sun for a while. Unfortunately, however, he did not sleep at all last night...

This is the single image that was made on the evening that Craig Blacklock was severely injured in a fire. We made a limited number of these signed prints to sell for the benefit of Craig's family, during his recovery.

However, the Blacklocks received adequate support before the prints were gone, and Craig told me to use the remaining prints in a way that might benefit me some day.

Hi.

I hope everyone is well, and has been enjoying the feed lately. 

I am currently sitting in the hospital, watching my grandfather sleep. He is humming in his sleep, and it is adorable.

He has been in tremendous pain. There is a rare infection attacking his spine. In the mean time, he is experiencing both heart and kidney failure. 

I am not sure what time is left, but it is going to grow more difficult by the hour. 

 I will continue posting content...

I just returned home after something like 40 days on the road. I worked in various climates and landscapes all across the country, and had some lovely experiences with wonderful people. This week, I am easing back into a routine that makes sense for me at home.

That is always a struggle. After I am gone for so long, sometimes I feel like a foreigner to my own environment and community. I have learned to treat my home like anywhere else that I travel; That is, I must find aspects of my environm...

Happy May.

I just want to say thank you all for your continued support; And WELCOME to those of you who just joined. Tonight or tomorrow I will be posting the new passwords for the patron blogs, so stay tuned.

The Desert Adventure was a wild success. Truly. Every one has been better than the last, but this one was so much more special than I could have ever planned for.

Thanks to those of you who were a part of the experience. It is you who make it such a fulfilling trip, and I am so grateful to have had your collaborative company. Will be sharing some of that work as soon as it comes in!

So. I realized today that my Tumblr malfunctioned such that one of my tiers got two identical posts, and the other tier got nothing.
