tl;dr: my home flooded due to a plumbing malfunction and taking care of it consumed some time and resources.  I am actively writing right now and am going to try to release it tomorrow if I finish it and ensure its up to snuff quality-wise.

However, I would NEVER rush a story of half-ass it just to make a release date.  I would much rather delay it 1-2 days and ensure a quality, freshly edited chapter than put out something I deem subpar.  As always, next week's release ...

Hello!  While I enjoy writing all four of my serials, and while I feel "Bloodbarn" has a solid foundation, it is definitely the odd one out right now.

It performs worse than "Slime Crimes" and "The Belle Tolls", and also worse than "Soft and Wet" did when that was being published.

I can kind of see why. As there seems to be a bit of a divide between slime and cow enjoye...

Due to the nature of Mollusk Match being community-driven, the fact that I'm also working on finishing the "Chapter 1" rewrites, and the issue of me being quite sick the last week, it would be easier for me to release "Slime Crimes: Chapter 3" next week and then do Mollusk Match the following.  This would help me ensure it's of the utmost quality.

I have had severe respiratory issues this week and am just starting to recover. "The Belle Tolls"  will likely be delayed 1-2 days at most.

Next week's chapter will still be out on Sunday.  So there will be the same amount of monthly content as normal; I am NOT skipping a release this week, just postponing a little.

I'm really enjoying slow serials, what about you?

I'm finding myself invested in serials where I can develop the characters and do slow transformation.  This doesn't necessarily mean everything will be as slow as "The Belle Tolls" as that was specifically commissioned to be extra slow.  However, I really enjoy getting into the psychological aspects and developing the cast as real people rather than caricatures who the audience is meant to leer at.  It was fun to write the first chapter of "Slime Crimes" that way as we...
