I struggled with the values on this one for awhile but was finally satisfied! Had to ask some friends to look at it with fresh eyes to help me out. Never discount how helpful it is to have friends check out work giving you trouble. They do not have to be artists too in order to understand what might be wrong.

A little preview just for you guys!! Every 2 volumes I change up the “theme” of the portraits for the chapter title pages. The theme for the vol 7/8 character shots will be DnD classes! Here are the sketches for Simon, Clary and Jace!
