Yesterday

Every spring I'm mesmerized! Even though it is still cold and rainy in WA, it won't keep me from going outside to see everything in bloom.

@mynameismarcusklotz took some quick pictures of me at this park by Lake Washington. Someone was walking their dog and apologized if they were interrupting photos, but I wasn't bothered at all. My son was with me and I was happy the dog could keep his interested for a short while.

I Heart You

Tonight Marcus and I tried something different. The picture with the color heart will be layered on top of the other images. That is what the heart actually looks like, instead of white.

We are still practicing this style together.

Posing with Fabric

Today started out sunny and got me excited to go outside and shoot. The weather quickly changed, though. It was cold, but I get hyper-focused when I start posing, that I don't even notice the cold. I could have been out there all day.

There were people on the beach too... we had to be a bit careful.

@mynameismarcusklotz took these of me. I always love his pictures and that he's up for anything I want to do.

What a Wreck!

On the drive back from our shoot by the river, @mynameismarcusklotz and I saw this wrecked car...I laughed and said "I want to pose naked with it!"

Near Monroe yesterday, we were looking for a specific river to shoot at, but the road was blocked off...so we worked with what was near us. 

I walked through the cold water and explored the area a bit for the best shots. I love when I get to be in cold water and find my calm rather than focus on the cold.

We were waiting for a pretty sunset, but we were in the wrong place. These were the shots we got while we were waiting. Wish we could have seen the sunset at Edmonds Beach, but it is always busy there... 

Still happy about these, though! 😊

Galaxy

When I turned my shutter speed up and the f-stop really high, I liked how the outside of the sunspot was black. It reminded me of a galaxy in space... I tried to get a good shot of me in the light, but I didn't realize it would also cast a shadow on me in certain poses. 

Long Exposure Pole Poses

These are just practice shots I did with @mynameismarcusklotz in my living room. He used my lightsaber while I held still in my pose for about 2 seconds. Next time I’ll set up a backdrop or we will take similar shots outside.

They turned out better than I had expected!

City Shoot

This was my very first time shooting nude in the city. Lucien and I were trying to keep it low key and just get an idea how it would work out. 

In the last picture I'm laughing because a work truck drove by - I got some double takes and funny looks. There was a lot to look out for, that it had us a bit stressed 😅. We really were not trying to be obvious and get into trouble! 

The next shoot will hopefully be with tall buildings in the background. That's our goal. ...

Grapefruit Tree

"What is the point in taking self-portraits?" I ask myself sometimes when I am overthinking. "Do I seem conceited because I take pictures of myself?"

Darth Maul

The paint was a bit award on the face. Funny how I feel more comfortable doing my own face paint... 🙈 but Lars did the whole shabam.

I love the turnout! I can just see that I felt awkward in some of my other pics. My lips were so dry from the black paint.

There was a really cool transition Reel I posted on my Instagram story and it got a lot of views. I didn’t expect that many on just my story...😲

I have to censor it first if I decide to post it as a Reel, though. <...

Peerspace

Playing with fabric will never get old for me. It looks entrancing every time. I have a bunch of fabrics I’ve thrifted for, in my treasure chest at home. Costumes; make-up; fabrics and dancing are a few of my favorite things.

Tuesday

I usually rent studio time during the week. On a Monday or Tuesday with a time frame from 10am-2pm when the light is best.

You can tell one of the images is really dark. I didn’t change my settings, but that was just before my time was up at 1:30pm. 😳

I mainly wanted to explore what the studio had to offer...with my turnout, it was worth it. I am excited to have an updated picture of my face now that I’m 31!

Window Portraits

At the studio in Pioneer Square yesterday from 11-1:30pm. The light was fading at around 1pm already due to dark clouds, but I still got lucky with a few shots. You can book any studio on Peerspace.com

If you follow me on Instagram, I posted a little clip of me taking my own portraits. The camera is on a tripod, I manually set my settings and then I use a little remote that sets off a timer.

Foggy

These were taken at my house, on my deck. None are edited yet.

Anytime you have a prop, it makes you pop! Especially with the fog machine, I thought they came out alright. I’ll only pick one anyway. Which is your favorite?

Joker

I watched the Joker for the first time today and was inspired to get artsy. It was a sad movie and I’m often in a funk too 😅

People can suck! And the movie did a good job at showing how people can destroy you emotionally.

Bone-ly

On this day I overslept and showed up an hour late - so not like me 🙈 but my great friend Lucien is always nice and understanding.

These shots were us brainstorming... we were clueless on what to shoot 😂

We just pushed though and set up lights and this was our result.

Yellow Pants

Today I had the pleasure shooting my friend, Charm. It was her first time modeling... she is still getting used to it, but I think she did great! I am currently sorting through her pictures and editing, so I will definitely post more of her. These were a few shots I could share right away. 

I'll be returning to this studio again. I always feel like I run out of time quickly because I have so many ideas I'm hurrying to get out asap with limited time.

NFT

I'm working on more artsy type photos like this, for my NFT portfolio. What do you think for a first try? If I could improve the image, I would have to practice digital art a bit more and have a better quality tree 😅😆

Last year I took this when I visited Utah, at the Salt Flats...definitely want to visit again in the near future.   I added to my original shadow with the paintbrush and gave it a funky twist.

Zac

Zac has never modeled before and wasn't sure what to expect. He said it was fun and easier than he thought... I helped with pose ideas and showed him the pictures on the camera. I love it when I get a male model to work with, who trusts my direction and ends up happy with the turnout. 

It was a perfect beach day in Cape Kiwanda, Oregon. We were just grateful to be in a beautiful place together and made the most of it.

Before & After

If I could take this shot again, it would be early in the morning during the week. We initially planned to shoot at 10am, but things got pushed to 4pm on a Saturday at Golden Gardens 😅 There were lots of people and due to that, this was the only angle I could get for this kind of edit. 

In case you were wondering how I managed to remove the cube, I used the clone stamp tool in adobe photoshop to copy and paste from the image with no stool, to give the levitating effect.  2021-08-26 17:45:43 +0000 UTC View Post

Alien!

It's been a while since I have posted because I've been in a funk. Sometimes you just need to be at a standstill and let things rest, but today I was in a creative mood and called Lars to see if he was up to doing an Alien painting.
