trying to figure out the structure and translate it into a drawing that flows is hARD
this isn't really a tutorial type thing since I'm still trying to figure it out myself but I'll leave it here for you $10 patrons!
I've been working hard trying to perfect the first chapter so here are some of the changes I made! This summarizes most of it but feel free to reread the first chapter to get a better grasp~
Most of these edits were made due to my poor planning/writing from the beginning. I hope it makes a lot more sense now! This will definitely be much better for the comic in the long run~

what I've changed:
- his name was Chance, is now Ragnok!
- tattoos... tattoos... lots of new tattoos... (and some old ones, retouched)
- scruffier hair!
- that's about it??
some major edits for Kass!
Here's what I changed:
- his name is now spelled with a K instead of a C
- lotsa tattoos! they're kinda inspired by crop circles because Kass is obsessed with the supernatural
- his hair is much kinkier, a little longer and shaved on the sides
- one eye must be hidden by hair at all times
he's gonna have a more layered clothing style too so that's a relief when it comes to drawing/not drawing those tATTOOS;;;;
been making some adjustments so first off! Here's Jeriko!
some things I've changed:
- his name. He wasn't introduced with a name in chapter 1 but originally I was going to use "Paris". I like "Jeriko" better for him in this setting
- his tattoos. added all the designs around his neck and head and tweaked the wingies just a bit
- furry leggies!!
- his dongle. originally I drew it with an unnatural pointy shape but I decided against it for, uh, p-plot reasons;;;;;

So! While working on ch1 for the past year I've had a lot of time to reflect on how I want things to *actually* look, lines + color wise in this case.
Experimented with pg 27 a little bit and I actually really like how this turned out! It's a good balance between flats/gradients, it's much more moody and the colors suit the environment I have pictured in my head so much better.
