The final commission for this month has been completed!
Thankfully, despite my concerns, I managed to finish it within the month! Haha. This piece features the client’s mature original character. They’ve shared the character's background and ideas with me consistently over time, so the character left a strong impression. I’m really happy to finally complete it—haha.
Since the background had to include a club, it naturally became a night scene. Because of that, I spent a lot of time thinking about how to distinguish the character’s naturally dark skin tone from the dim background. That’s why I chose a night scene with more lighting and a slightly more open atmosphere.
I still feel my rendering skills—especially for skin—are lacking when it comes to creating a strong focal point on the character, haha. But I did my best with what I have now, so I have no major regrets!
Even though I wasn’t very active this month, I truly appreciate everyone who believed in and supported me. I’m always struggling to show some kind of improvement, and I feel sorry when the progress isn’t clear. You might find it hard to believe, but I really do study on every day off! Haha.
Since tomorrow is the 30th, I’ll be posting a monthly summary of this month’s artwork, along with some casual thoughts.
Thank you so much!
+I uploaded a version from before the final edits! I had added some details later on, keeping the heavy coat and the surrounding lights in mind. Haha, I hope there are people who like this version too!
I’ve completed my third illustration! There were quite a few characters this time, so I ended up spending a lot of time on the sketch and line art, haha. I put a lot of thought into the direction and layout to make sure the story in the illustration comes through clearly.
Now that it’s done, I do feel a sense of accomplishment. However, the fourth commission is still waiting, and the part I was worried about is slowly becoming reality… I’m not sure if I’ll be able to finish everything within this month, but I’ll do my very best until the end so that I won’t have to say sorry!
It’s a tight schedule, but I believe health is important too — so I’ll take a break on the 26th, and start the final commission on the 27th!
For this artwork, I got to draw Kafka and Fu Xuan from Honkai: Star Rail!
They're characters from a game I really enjoy, and I’ve always wanted to draw them, so I’m really happy to have done so!
While there hasn’t been much progress since I drew Mirko, I think I’ve started to pay more attention to color theory.
I feel like I should apply the theories I’ve learned while drawing more instinctively, but it’s a bit disappointing that I still rely on my intuition rather than applying what I’ve studied.
It makes me wonder if I need to draw a lot more to have those techniques come out naturally.
I believe I’ve practiced a lot more than a few months ago, but it still feels difficult to consistently apply what I’ve learned to commission artwork.
Every time I feel frustrated with my own inconsistency, I realize that accepting it is the first step.
I will be taking a break until the 19th and will start on the next commission afterward.
I’ve just completed my first commission for April! For this piece, I focused a lot on making sure the colors of the background and character blended harmoniously together. Although it took longer than usual for a single character, I feel like I gained some insight into what I should focus on when creating SFW illustrations.
While NSFW art tends to emphasize facial expressions and texture details, I think SFW pieces should be more about color balance and creating the right atmosphere. I’d like to continue developing my illustrations in that direction.
Last month, I started including time estimates and previews of upcoming pieces when posting my art, since I was worried some people might feel uneasy waiting without any updates. I’m not sure if that was helpful for those of you following me, but if you’d be willing to share whether that was a positive or negative change, I’ll decide whether to continue or go back to how I did things before. Any other feedback is also welcome, and I’ll do my best to reflect it within reason!
Thank you so much for your continued support this month as well!
I’ll be taking just one day off tomorrow (the 13th), and then I’ll move on to the next commission!
I’ve just been working on sketches for my doujinshi, and starting tomorrow, I’ll begin my April commissions!
Once again, while working on this doujinshi, I learned a lot of new things. It’s not quite an experience that has built my confidence yet, but as I research more references, I’m starting to get a faint sense of “This is how it should be done”—a certain flow and understanding are beginning to form. Even when I realize things, applying them well still takes a long time each time. Maybe it's just because I'm not very sharp, haha.
Still, I’ll keep pushing forward, learning through experience, and doing my best not to get lazy.
Thank you again for your continued trust and support this month as well!
I took enough rest and worked on a personal piece! It's a character called Burning from MHA! Luckily, I stopped at the sketch phase this time! Haha. I wanted to refine her style again after a long time, so I decided to draw her! I’d love to draw more poses, but I had to stop here to start working on other plans.
I've been working at a pace where I draw personal works after commissions for almost two years, but now that I’m drawing at a different pace, I think I need some time to adjust. Normally, I incorporate what I learned from commissions into my personal works, but now I’m wondering whether I should be satisfied with just drawing ideas at a lower quality like this piece, or if I should take a long-term approach and gradually invest time into a single illustration.
This is a situation I brought upon myself, but experiencing it firsthand makes me think about new solutions. Haha.
I'll upload the progress of my doujinshi sketches again on the 7th!
Thank you so much for supporting me this month, even though my drawings were still lacking!
Hello! I've completed my last commission for this month!
I thought there were two full-body characters, but I was mistaken. Haha The characters in this work are the same as last month, Bakugo's mom and Deku, in an intense scene.
I've drawn genitals frequently, but I think this is my first time properly depicting the anus. Haha I tried to focus on the texture of her buttocks and genital expression to make them visible, but I'm not sure if I did it well. Hahaha
The remaining time will be spent taking a short break like last month, followed by working on a doujinshi sketch. Additionally, I'm making some progress on a personal project. Currently, I'm doodling a character from MHA called Burning. After the break, I'll be able to dive into it more seriously. This time, I'm focusing on the texture of the character's body, and I'll pay special attention to that while working.
I apologize if I haven't shown my best this month. Even so, I will continue to do my best in the areas I can!
This time, the commission features Loona, Roxanne, and the client’s original character!
The magic circle on the floor gives the impression that the three characters are being summoned, and I wanted it to feel like a summoning magic circle from hell. Personally, there are a lot of bold colors in this artwork, and I think I worked hard to maintain balance. Haha.
I’m also slowly learning about textures, and I always feel a bit disappointed that I can’t draw hair boldly each time. I think I need more courage. Haha.
I’ll take a break for one day and then start the final commission. It’s the same request as the one I worked on at the end of last month. The character is Bakugo’s mom, and this time, two characters will appear. I expect the work to take about 4 days, maybe 5 days at most. Recently, I’ve been practicing sketching quickly, so if it’s not an angle I’ve never tried before, I hope the initial process will take less time than last time. Haha.
This time, I’ll have a bit of energy left, so I plan to work on personal art and study during my break. The personal art will be a very simple doodle, but if it’s finished, I’ll post it. Haha.
The second commission is complete! The character in this piece is Mamako!
This artwork was a particularly difficult challenge for me, so I put even more effort into it. I can’t believe a whole week has passed—haha. Her dress was especially challenging to draw. When sketching, I considered making it a full-body illustration, but after completing the piece, I realized that if I had done four full-body images, it would have taken even more time—haha. I also worked hard on the background, aiming to create a restaurant-like atmosphere. Though it was tough, I feel like I gained valuable experience from it. This commission made me want to work on a personal piece as well.
I will start my next commission on the 18th. The next one will feature a furry character, and there will be a total of three characters in the piece. I estimate that it will take around 4 days at the fastest, 5 days on average, and up to 6 days at the longest.
I’ll contact you again once I finish a personal piece or another commission! Thank you for your support this month!
I’ve completed the first commission of this month! The characters are Midnight and MT. Lady from MHA! They are quite attractive characters that many people enjoy. Haha, I’m really glad I got to draw them!
I can definitely feel that I’ve improved in terms of not getting lost during the coloring stage. However, as I’ve been reflecting on some recent concerns, I find myself frequently revising backgrounds or noticing discrepancies in the character designs between line art and final pieces. I’m feeling a lot of regret regarding these aspects of my drawings. I really want to focus on making the characters look clearer and more beautiful even at the line art stage. I will continue studying with a focus on this area.
I’ll take today off and start working on the second commission tomorrow!
The next commission will involve drawing one character in 4 illustrations. Since it’s quite a lot of work, I expect it will take at least a week to complete. Given the amount of work, my goal is to follow the process carefully and complete it with a balanced sense of harmony.
Thank you so much for your trust and support this month! I’ll be back as soon as I finish the commission!
I'm reaching out because I'll be starting commissions tomorrow!
As for what I've been up to, I've been fully immersed in working on a doujinshi. I initially thought that if I could speed through the sketching process, I might have some time to work on personal projects—but that was wishful thinking. Haha.
In particular, I realized just how much I lack in areas like composition, panel distribution, and various poses. I kept drawing and reworking things while constantly reflecting on these weaknesses. This month, while working on commissions, I plan to study and improve these aspects. Haha. I'll also try to draw personal works occasionally, as long as I don't feel burned out.
To give you a heads-up about the next commission: it will be a single illustration featuring two characters. If things progress smoothly, I expect to complete it in about 2–3 days, with an average of 4 days, and up to 5 days if delayed.
February is already coming to an end! I can feel the cold gradually fading and the days getting longer. I think it was around this time when I first started taking commissions. Back then, I only intended to enjoy drawing as a hobby, so I remember feeling nothing but vague fear. Haha.
The reason I'm reflecting on the past now is that I've never really wished for time to slow down in my life.
At the very least, I've come to believe in myself, and that alone makes me happy. It would have been nice if I had realized this sooner, but since I've also had my share of bad memories, I think they've helped me build resilience and coping mechanisms. That has become an important driving force in enduring the occasional challenges I face.
I know some people don’t like overly personal stories, so I'll stop here. Haha.
Right now, I'm working on a doujinshi. Since it’s based on an existing work, it’s not as complex as designing something from scratch, but I’m organizing the characters that will appear and creating simple character sheets. I'm also gathering references for positions and compositions for NSFW manga. Haha. Since this is my first time working on something like this in earnest, I’m starting with the basics before diving in. It feels like this will be a long-term battle, but I’ll do my best. I’ll also share updates from time to time!
This piece turned out to be a really intense one! Haha. The character featured in this illustration is Bakugo’s mother from My Hero Academia. Since there isn’t much time left this month, I couldn’t take on too many commissions, but I did my best with the ones I worked on.
Following the previous commission, I realized something important while working on this one—I finally solidified the direction of my coloring, which I had been struggling with for months. Because of that, I was able to reduce the time spent on my work. If I can maintain this feeling, I believe I’ll be able to improve the quality of my work with the saved time or even take on more commissions and personal projects.
This month is coming to an end soon. Personally, I want to thank you all for believing in me and always supporting me, even when I was struggling with uncertainty over the past two months. If possible, I’d love to work on a personal piece, but from now until the 7th of next month, I’ll be focusing on drawing the Mirko doujinshi as I mentioned before. I hope to learn a lot from this project as well. I’ll make sure to get enough rest while doing my best in every way I can!
I’ve completed my fourth commission! Unfortunately, due to the client’s request, the final artwork will remain private, so I won’t be able to upload it…
The character was an original female character with a devilish appearance yet captivating charm. She wore a bunny girl outfit without piercings or hair accessories, and the composition focused on a low-angle shot emphasizing her lower body. I put a lot of effort into improving my weaker areas, such as texture rendering, hair, facial expressions, and lighting effects. As a result, both the character and the background turned out with clearer direction and a higher level of completion than I had expected.
Additionally, all three initial sketch concepts were significantly refined, which made me feel really satisfied—haha. Since I grew quite attached to this piece, I also feel a bit of regret, but I trust that the client loved the artwork just as much!
Here are a few pieces from my personal projects in progress. They’re really rough, as I’ve been dedicating more time to commissions lately, so the sketches are still incomplete. But I just wanted to share a little update on what I’ve been working on—haha.
Due to time constraints, I’ll be jumping right into the next commission sketch! As always, I’ll do my best!
It’s a combination of Mirko and Bakugo! I found their pairing refreshing, so I had drawn them as a personal piece before. It seems like the client had a similar idea as me, haha. I had a great time working on this and did my best!
I tend to admire many different art styles, which sometimes makes my coloring process a bit chaotic. I have a bad habit of referencing too many styles at once, making it hard to stay on track. To fix this, I’ve started writing down my process on a whiteboard, haha.
I’d love to record my process, but since I switch between Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint frequently, it would be quite inconvenient, haha.
I really want to find my own unique rendering style as soon as possible so I can streamline my workflow and eliminate unnecessary steps. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about my process. But honestly, I’m glad I became aware of these challenges now rather than later. I believe I’ll improve little by little, haha.
I’ll take a day to reorganize tomorrow and start my fourth commission the day after!
This commission features a beautiful original character (he’s a guy!). The scene with the character floating on water was unfamiliar to me, but it provided a challenging motivation. I’ve finished it, but natural elements are still quite difficult for me, haha. I’ll pay more attention to them next time!
Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, but lately I’ve been balancing commissions and personal work, so I wasn’t able to draw. I’ll definitely make sure to draw something next year. This year, I plan to invest some time so that I can work more comfortably next year!
I’ll take a day off tomorrow, and then I’ll start the next commission the day after! Thank you for your support this month, and I hope you enjoy some delicious chocolate!
Hello! My first commission of the month is complete!
Since this is a commercial commission, I had to add a watermark—sorry about that!
As I reflected last month, I’ve been paying more attention to facial expressions. My sense of three-dimensionality is still lacking, but I did my best to properly depict her muscles. My approach keeps evolving, but I hope that one day, I’ll be able to fully express a character’s charm. Until then, I’ll keep drawing steadily. Haha.
I’ll take just one day off and then move on to the next commission! I also plan to work on some personal projects little by little. However, unlike my ambitious New Year’s illustration, I won’t be rushing—I'll take my time to carefully think through the parts I want to refine.
I still have a lot to improve, but I’ll continue doing my best to refine my work! Thank you for your support this month!
I’ve finally finished my personal artwork! Since it’s a style I’ve never tried before, it turned out a bit rough, but I did my best to work on it! Haha.
I added a lot of my own imagination to the character Ryukyu from MHA. She originally has dragon abilities, but I wanted to tell a story where, due to the bullying she faced when she was younger, she perceives herself differently. Haha. It might be a bit forced, but I came up with a fun story in my own way. Still, I hope that based on this experience, I’ll be able to create the next piece with more completeness. Sorry if it looks like just a self-satisfying drawing. I hope it’s a fun idea for people who love Ryukyu, just as I love Mirko. Haha.
I’ll start working on commissions from tomorrow.
Thank you for believing in and supporting me this month. I’ll continue doing my best this month too!
I originally planned to complete as many personal works as possible during my free time this month, but I ended up being so busy both inside and outside that it was impossible, haha. If I could stop time, I would love to just draw everything I want, haha. Still, while working on commissions this month, I was able to identify noticeable issues in my artwork and discover effective study methods, so I feel quite satisfied. I don’t expect immediate improvement in the short term, but in the long run, I believe this is a positive outcome. Since I know I can be quite fickle, my goal is to consistently maintain this approach.
I apologize for always bringing up my personal projects—I must seem pretty attached to them, haha. It might be a bit late to call it a New Year's piece, but I find it hard to give up on my current personal project. Instead, I’ll do my best to complete it! I don’t expect it to resonate deeply with many people, but as long as it represents one of the many ideas I’ve explored and attempted, I’ll be satisfied, haha.
For today, I’ll take care of all my personal matters, and after that, I’ll fully focus on completing my personal artwork! I think finishing the personal illustration afterward won’t be too late either, haha.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting me throughout this month, even though I still have a lot to improve on! Next month, I’ll finally start working on the Mirko doujin! Of course, I’ll also give my best effort on other commissions!
I’ll contact you again once my artwork is finished!
Hello! I’ve completed my fourth and final commission!
This time, the illustration features a character posing alone on the beach. Now that I think about it, it’s been a while since I last drew a beach background, haha. I kept working on it, hoping the character and background would blend well together.
I finished the artwork yesterday, so I plan to take a break today! Now I finally have time to complete my personal project! Haha. Since I’ve put it off for quite a while, I’m determined to finish it within this month!
January has already passed, but thank you for all your support throughout the month!
For this commission, I transformed the original vertical comic format into a horizontal one! I thought it was a rare opportunity to draw two characters with significant size differences. While this might be a matter of personal preference, I found it to be a very rewarding experience! I paid particular attention to depicting the muscles of the muscular character. Haha.
Although I usually don’t highlight my shortcomings, I strongly felt that my portrayal of character expressions was lacking. I plan to dedicate more time to studying this aspect in my personal practice.
This year, I’ve started many things outside of drawing as well. As I’m learning from the ground up, it’s been an enjoyable experience figuring out what study methods suit me best. Instead of focusing on big achievements, I’ll continue to concentrate on the present.
Due to my mistake, I still have one more commission to complete, so I’ll get started on that tomorrow!
I’ve finally completed my second commission! This time, I created two illustrations featuring the client’s original character and a fantasy-themed adventure of Mirko. The sketches turned out great, so I truly enjoyed drawing these pieces with all my effort! Haha. I hope you like them!
Embarrassingly, despite my resolutions for the year, my condition worsened in the middle, and I had to take a short break. However, I took it as an opportunity to identify areas for improvement early on, and I was able to recover and get back to drawing again. I’ll be more cautious while working on art moving forward! Haha.
The New Year’s artwork is currently making slow progress, but I’ll do my best to complete it by the end of this month or early next month at the latest! (I sincerely apologize if you were looking forward to other illustrations and they’re delayed!)
I plan to take a rest tomorrow and start working on my next commission the day after. I’m so sorry for making you wait every time! I’ll do my utmost to deliver my very best!
Hello! I’ve completed my first commission of the year! I’m really happy to have drawn Mirko right from the start of the year! Haha I put my best effort into this piece and worked hard on it!
I’ve completed 3 color illustrations and 2 line art pieces! Unfortunately, two of the pieces are private requests, so I won’t be able to share the original artwork. I apologize for that! The line art might be a bit unfamiliar, but I’m happy to say that, thanks to another artist, 2 of the pieces will be colored and will naturally become a collaboration! Haha Once the other artist’s work is finished, I’ll share the link here!
I’ll take a break tomorrow and start the next commission afterward!
This is my first post of the year! Haha. Happy New Year! I wanted to share a finished piece, but unfortunately, I’m starting commissions with an unfinished work. Since this is the Year of the Snake, I considered drawing an illustration of a snake character, but I also wanted to try telling a story through the character. I’m aiming for a rough and gritty art style, so I’ve been working with references.
As this is my first time tackling this kind of project, I’ve had a lot to think about. It’s also made me confront parts of my usual style that I tend to hide or avoid. Drawing really is a challenge. Haha.
I’ll definitely share more details about the artwork once it’s finished! Let’s do our best this month, too!
This year flew by as fast as the cold winter arrived, and it was quite eventful!
It’s been a year filled with challenges, from concerns about my art, physical and mental health, to personal issues. Many problems and worries arose one after another, and I spent my time busily trying to address them quickly. Thankfully, I believe that overcoming those difficulties in those moments has allowed me to enjoy my current days.
Regarding commissions, I truly apologize and express my gratitude to everyone who has trusted me with their requests. I’m aware that lacking confidence is not a good look, but there were many times when I questioned whether I was truly giving my best effort. Next year, I will work harder to refine myself and deliver better results!
Starting next year, commission fees will increase. This is something I had considered before, and as I’ve been investing more time in my art, I’ve faced challenges balancing income and other schedules. Thus, I plan to reduce the average number of commission slots slightly and allow myself more time to focus on each piece.
Additionally, I’m planning to take on a bigger challenge starting in February. I will be creating a 36-page Mirko doujinshi with a commissioner! However, since the story and characters might be a divisive topic, I think there’s a chance Mirko fans could be disappointed. Sensitive aspects will be adjusted through discussion as much as possible, but the main characters in the story will be Mirko and the Nomu. Even so, I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity and motivation to seriously delve into comic production, so I accepted this commission. Since this will be a long-term project, the commissioner and I have come to an agreement, and I plan to dedicate a portion of my time from February to completing the sketching, coloring, and finalizing of the pages step by step. I’m fully aware of the heavy workload, so I’ll carefully manage my condition and strive to deliver the best results possible.
While I aim to push myself further next year compared to my current works, my goal is to ensure I don’t neglect my health and energy as I did this year, so as not to disappoint anyone.
Thank you sincerely for your support this year, and I’ll continue working hard to create satisfying artwork next year as well.
Hello! It’s a Christmas drawing, although it’s a bit late! Haha
I put a lot of effort into this drawing, from rough to completion! I hope you like it! Since it’s a personal piece, I tried drawing angles and situations that I wouldn’t normally do. I hope this becomes a memorable Christmas drawing for me as well. Haha!
I’ll rest for a day and then rush to prepare for the New Year’s drawing. Haha This time, I’m planning to challenge myself with a slightly different format of drawing instead of an illustration!
Given the schedule, it might be late again, but I’ll definitely finish it before the commission starts!
Thank you so much for always supporting me this month!
Hello! A belated Merry Christmas to you all! The third commission is complete! What made this commission special was the request for a sexual scene taking place on top of a car. Since it was my first time drawing a car, I was quite nervous about this project! I also spent a lot of time thinking about a location that would suit both the car and the outfits of the two female characters.
Looking back now, I feel like an outdoor setting might have been more natural for them. However, at the time, I wanted to emphasize the car, so I chose a bolder background: a motor show. While working on it, I aimed to give the characters strong lighting while keeping the surroundings dark. But the background ended up not blending well with the characters, which caused me a lot of concern.
Thankfully, I managed to complete it, but I still feel my limitations. I’m realizing more and more how much I need to study and improve.
Unfortunately, this will be the last commission I’ll take on for this month. It’s been a month of deep reflection on my work. Although Christmas has already passed, I’ll do my best to complete a Christmas-themed piece in the remaining days.
Additionally, I’m planning another artwork to celebrate the New Year! Since it’s the Year of the Snake, I think I’ll be working on a piece featuring a related character!
Fortunately, I was able to successfully complete the commission! For this piece, I received a request from the client to focus more on the angle and pose that emphasizes the hips! I hope you like it!
Already, December is almost over! I apologize for the delayed upload cycle this month. I'm always balancing between schedule and quality, haha. If I spend more time to improve the quality, it affects both my income and my schedule, so I'm always a bit disappointed by how little time I can devote to each piece. For next year, I’m planning to raise my commission rates to secure more time for each drawing. Fortunately, many people have responded positively, and I’m grateful for that!
Next year, although it will still be commissions, I’m planning one big challenge. I’ll share more about it as I settle the December commissions!
Thank you so much for always trusting and supporting me!
I’m sorry it’s taken quite a bit of time again! Most of the work was completed yesterday, and today, only some minor adjustments are left. Due to personal circumstances on both sides, communication has been delayed, but I will upload the artwork as soon as it’s finished! I plan to rest today and start working on commissions again tomorrow! As for the Christmas illustration, I’ve reached the sketching stage. It looks like it may take longer than expected, but I will do my best to complete it!
Hello! The first commission for this month has been completed!
It was a fairly demanding project from the start, so it took quite some time. Haha I started on the 7th, and it's already the 13th! Haha
The characters featured this time are Luna from Helluva Boss and the client's original character. I wasn’t familiar with Luna since I haven’t explored many works, but as a fan art, her design is quite charming and appealing, so I happily accepted the proposal! I'm glad I was able to complete it!
If I had more time or a break, I wanted to prepare a Christmas fan art, but I ended up only making a rough draft due to how intense this commission was. Haha Still, I think I did my very best!
I'll take just one day off and resume the next commission tomorrow! Thank you for trusting and supporting me this December!
