Dagger

I've been looking through some old art and renovating it. It's a fun exercise and a great way to see how i've developed, what i've learned, and even sometimes what i've forgotten!

I found an old Dagger drawing I was doing for a Final Fantasy colour wheel over a year ago. I never finished the wheel, I think partly because my approach and style were changing so fast there was no consistency.

Lilith and Magik

When looking for old art to post during my recovery, I found a sketch of Lilith I did dressed as Magik. I thought it could look pretty nice with some extra work, and it would be a little easier on me than drawing something from scratch.

So I fixed a few things, and also decided to actually fully edit it into Magik herself!

I hope you enjoy these. I'm taking something to help with the pain and am almost fully recovered now which feels great, i'm so relieved I can move about again....

Lilith sketch

I'm easing myself back into art, taking it slow and being cautious with my back. But things are looking positive. I've adjusted my posture and set up, which thankfully didn't take too long to get accustomed to.

I haven't drawn Lilith in what feels like forever, and she always cheers me up, so I did a little sketch today.

Pose/ Style study

In an attempt to get myself back in the swing of things I did some anatomy/pose and style studying. Trying to draw more unusual poses is a great way to learn or perhaps reinforce anatomical knowledge.

Using reference without being beholden to it is a difficult line to walk for me. It can be hard to strike the right balance.

Aigis sketch in glorious HD.

I did a sketch of Aigis from Persona 3 whilst streaming on Twitch. I found a few brushes I wanted to test out.

There are a couple details missing around the shoulder and those colour edges are messy, but it wasn't intended to be a finished drawing so that's my excuse.

Hey everyone, I hope you're enjoying 2024 so far!

I've been giving some thought to the polls here and I decided to mix it up this month. Rather than working on one piece of art for the chosen character, I thought it could be fun to instead use the character as a focus for my studies and sketches.
