I've had a follow-up to my Daisypool pic planned from the start, but I need to find the right poses.  If you've seen Deadpool, you may know the exact moment this image will take place!

Top-left is my initial thumbnail, while top-right is a second pass.  I don't think Violet is struggling enough in that second one, but adding her legs to the first one (as seen at the bottom) works better.  I may also turn Daisy's head as in the second one...  Daisy may be stronger than V...

Hairy Situation

I'm running out of things to do on Daisy's base model, so now I'm working on her hair.  Re-using the old model (left) wasn't going to be an option, because look at that mess.  After this I'll need to decide what next week's priority will be - clothes, or getting her base model attached to a skeleton?

Taking Shape

Yesterday I took a break from drawing, and focused Daisy's 3D model.  On the left is what I started with, and the result is on the right.  Basically she's shorter and thicker, now, and has smaller hands.   The important thing is she's closer to how I draw her (minus boobs).

There's still a lot to clean up, but I still haven't decided on how much I want to do in Maya vs Zbrush.  Either way, the topology doesn't need to be absolutely perfect, because I'm probably...

Just in Time!

Between commissions and freelancing, I was worried that January's image pack would only contain the one comic page*, but I got these two pinups completed just in time!

* commissioned pics won't be part of the image pack, although the high-res versions will be available to all here and/or on DeviantArt, with the commissioners' permission.

For February, my plan for now is to devote at least some time to 3D, and hopefully get a low-poly version of Daisy to a point where I can animate he...

Return of the Bots

It's been 2-3 months since I've been hit by a pledge-bot, and it looks like the site the bots work for has been shut down, so lately I've been thinking that maybe it's safe to post uncensored images here, instead of hosting them offsite.  Then I got hit again last night.

Lazy and lazier

Panel #2 is sketched out, meaning this page is now past the half-way point!

I thought I'd be lazy and save myself some time, and re-use Mercy from this panel in the final one...  but this morning I thought of a better solution!  The layout for the sixth/final panel wouldn't have worked - Rose's head would've taken up much of the foreground.  Now I'm thinking the final panel should be over Mercy's shoulder, almost a reverse-angle from this one.

More Lily!  More hugs!  More Violet!!  Getting this comic page drawn & colored by the end of the month - in addition to the two disrobing pics and two remaining commissions - might be a tall order, but it's not gonna happen if I don't sit down and draw it first!  Of course, I could save some time by not coloring this one, or at least ...

I've had my fun, so back to work!  We're almost half-way through the month, and I need to draw something with Daisy in it!

I think I shared my layout for a 4th Christmas page already, but I've made some changes to it since then.  Mainly more Lily hugs!  Between this and the hot tub pinups I'd thumbnailed last month, the 3D work I had planned might just have to wait until next month...

There's also the remaining commissions for this month, but I feel like I should get s...

Now in color!   I can't imagine the next page will take very long, where it's only 3 panels...  I'll have to see if I can't get it done by Sunday, though, because I'm helping my brother with the drive back up to Michigan, and then I fly back to Florida next Wednesday.   I'm going to need a vacation after this!  :P

Page 3 scribbles

2/3 of page 3 is now roughed in, though I'm not entirely satisfied with it...  Lily's face could use some more work, and unless I crop her panel a little tighter, I'll have have figure out how to make her pants actually look like pants from this angle.

That's page 2 fully roughed in!  Now I have between today and tomorrow to get page 3 draw.  I also have an idea for a 4th page, but that can wait, as it's not overly important.

On a different note, looking ahead to 2016, I have an idea that could be fun and a little evil, depending on how you look at it - what if I stopped drawing Daisy nudes?  It's difficult enough to draw in-character nudes to begin with, and this would be a fun way to screw with the folks who think that p...

I actually expanded this page a tad - the image on the right wasn't part of the original plan, but I felt an extra panel & dialogue was needed to lead into page 3.

Small Progress

5 more days to go, to get the remaining panels/pages drawn!  I think I'ma need a vacation after this.  :)

There are also a couple of patron sketches that are owed, which I haven't forgotten about.  This comic has sort of hijacked my time, is all.

Going off the rails

Tallying up the votes, it looks like the winning suggestions is Daisy & Rose as Santa and an elf, both with ill-fitting costumes.  And just minutes before I started typing this, I had an idea that could make it better and much more complicated at the same time.

I posted a series of thumbnails last month, some of which were for a sequence or comic involving mini-Rose, and Lily's reaction.  I didn't have a beginning for it, though.  It just started with Rose already miniat...

3December - 'Tis the Season!

I'm back home after my unexpected trip to Michigan, and now I'm trying to plan out the next three weeks before I fly right back up for Christmas.

I had a wordier version of this, but let's see if I can sum up my plan so far -  Priority #1 - 3D! Daisy retopology, and more of the diner needs blocking in.  While I'm at it - Zbrush practice! Who do I attempt first - Mary, Mercy, or Candice?
