Day 12: Alice on a Wednesday

Only in japan would they have a 3 story store specifically themed for Alice in wonderland! I must have spent well over an hour wandering around making squealing sounds over all the adorable and amazing goods. This morning, I’m sadly packing my bags to head back state side.  ( I don’t wanna go! I don’t wanna go! :p )

Day 10 & 11: return to Tokyo, Zoo & National Museum

Finally back at my Tokyo hotel, after a 2.5 hour Shinkansen bullet train ride! I mostly took it easy yesterday, and explore the Golden Gai area not too far from my hotel. I passed on drinking, given that I’m just now feeling 100%! Today’s adventure took me to Ueno Park, the Ueno Zoo, and the National Museum! Day 9: tour of Kyoto

I thankfully was feeling well enough to be able to take the full-day UNESCO world heritage tour! these are just some of the dozens of photos I took- my personal favorites were the golden pagoda and the thousand tori gates! 

Day 7 & 8: recovery in kyoto

flu season is no joke- even with A flu shot, ive been laid up in bed for the past couple of days recovering from the crud. I was able to get into an English-speaking clinic with the help of some friends, and with the help of some stomach settling pills, it looks like I’ll be right as rain by the end of today! i was supposed to do the UNESCO heritage sites today, but thankfully I was able to reschedule the tour for tomorrow! ill be missing the tour of the fish market, but giv...

Day 6: Japanese pharmacy adventures!

Being sick in a foreign country is NOT fun. 0/10, least favorite thing of the trip so far. However, the pharmacy’s here are staffed with incredibly helpful (and patient!) pharmacists that were more willing to go back and forth with me via a translator app. With any luck, I’ll be well enough to catch the bullet train at noon for Kyoto! My game plan is to rest it up tomorrow in Kyoto overnight, as I have a full day bus tour of the UNESCO world heritage sites planned for the next day! I *was...

really cool stuff! There won’t be updates for day 6, as I’m sick as a dog you guys :( bleghhh. I’m supposed to take the shinkansen train to Kyoto tomorrow, but that’ll depend on how I feel. Wish me luck! 

Day 4: otters, oh my!

So, this happened. I don’t even know what else to see other than  OH MY GOD OTTERS 😍

Day 3: OWLS!

I. Held. Two. OWLS! Its been like 14 hours later, and I’m still giddy and grinning like a fool. Who am I kidding- that’s gonna be my face this entire trip. I 💕 Japan! 

Day 2: Lolita!

Today, I got to dress up as a Lolita! growing up, I was pretty much obsessed with Lolita fashion, and Tokyo Street fashion in general.  Sooooo much fun! This is a quick behind the scenes pic after the wig came off- I’ll have the proper photos in 3-4 days!

DAY #1: Cat cafe!

Day one has been beyond incredible- I GOT TO GO TO A CAT CAFE!!! I took a ton of pictures and video that I’ll edit together once I return home :)

Speaking about cats- check out these adorable cat hats! Not that you’re surprised, but I totally purchased a couple different ones- just saying, Luna is going to be SO fashionable!

As such, I've had to change the structure so that you'll be charged for your patronage on the first day you subscribe, and then automatic billing will kick in on the first of each month thereafter.
