I have a news crew coming in at 7am tomorrow, so I woke up at 5 today so I'd be better able to deal with an early morning tomorrow. I spent a but of time working on a new shirt.

My wife sent me a photo of a t-shirt about a mythical candy cane factory that someone is selling. That idea lead to this design.

I am still questioning "Sugar is Strength" I like most of the rest of the drawing, even the shadows on the cane, but is that motto funny enough.

Thanksgiving Assortment

I thought you'd like to see the final candies. We started packing them today, so they may ship this week, but around the 4th or 5th is more likely.

Someone asked me what they would be, and then we had a meeting. All but one are made, the last one will be made today if the rain lets up.

This is divided into to courses (bags)

Ham: A fine Virginia ham, served candied. I mean what else would we do.

Greg talks about how everything tech related is breaking on him over the past few weeks, how the first drop of Tangerine Sours went and how he's starting an art project to rebuild a statue of summer, into his statue of summer.

As we get backed up regularly, we are working on a priority shipping system with a code for Patreon member. I'm still trying to get the tech to work, so no promises until I do, but I think I can. We're doing the thanksgiving assortment a bit different. It will be a two bag assortment. It is so hard to make sure everyone gets some of each flavor, we doubling the size of the assortment and that means two bags.

You guys here will be able to pre-order it at least a few days early. Probably before we've finalized the flavors. This is from last year (or the year before) most flavors will return, some new ones will be here. It will be $11.99 for two bags, but heck, it's two bags. ...

#103 DOS attack - Hastings - Letters

Today Greg talks about what took the website down last week, about the new www.pd.net, about a rabbit hole he went down connecting the Battle of Hastings to the fall of the Viking period (a surprise to Greg, but not to historians) and he reads your letters.

Pd.net migration update

Well we are on the new site comfortably. All of the orders on the old system were recovered by 5pm today. Today I integrated the new system into the backed, so we can do things like print postage and packing slips. I got the internal bar code system working (Something I've wanted for a long time.) and I'm working on confirmation e-mail copy that some of you might have seen the start of.

We have all candy for orders we've received, but we're about to use a new untested system so I expect...

It's been a weekend

You know, you start the weekend with great intentions. Two major projects. Migrate PD.net to a new shopping cart system, and edit a candy video that should have gone up two weeks ago.

Important update to last e-mail

I set a limit on how many tins it would sell of these. This is a fake limit. I want you to hit it and I want to see what it shows you, and me.
