August 25 Update

Hi everyone.

Just some quick updates for today.

The Deluxe Poll will open next week from the 1st to the 8th, and the Tsunade Poll for September will open from the 8th to the 15th.

I'm still working on some stuff for tomorrow but they'll be ready for the art drop at 4pm PT. Here's updated previews for now:

Art Tip: Drawing the Torso from Different Angles

Hi everyone.

Here's a new art tip. Someone asked for some advice on how to draw the torso from various angles. I always think of the basic structure. If you don't know how to draw something, one of the base ways to learn is to simplify the shape and add the details over it. Practicing the basic shape at different angles is easier than the more complex object, or body in this case.

August 21 Update

Hi everyone,

It's Monday so I have updates today.

First I want to thank all the new people who have joined since Saturday. I bet it was that Tsunade and Shizune artwork I posted on my SFW account. I started a Monthly Tsunade project last year where I make a new Tsunade artwork by poll. The poll is held every month from the 8th to the 15th. Hi everyone,

Here's this week's art drop.

1: Previews.

2-5: Del and Poste. The 3rd part of the shower set. I added an alt and included no-dialogue versions too. I used some post processing to add a bit of color and add to the lighting. I was going for a camera flash type lighting.

Art Tip: Hand Sketches

Hi everyone,

Here's some hand reference sketches I made. When drawing a hand I think it's helpful to keep the main block shape of the palm in mind. I've always found connecting the wrist to the hand naturally difficult as well, but I recently picked up on how the wrist connects to the back of the hand in a way that sort of overlaps it. August 2023 Artwork Week 2

Hi everyone,

Here's this weeks art drop. It's a little bigger than usual art drops.

1. Previews.

2-7: "Breed Me" Ivy. A spicy sketch of Ivy spread and ready. I personally really like how this one turned out. I added some different dialogue for each alt and included the versions with no dialogue too, just in case anyone prefers those.

First, I went through the patreon page to delete old expired polls and old updates. All the artwork is still up.

Art Tip: Proportion Basics

Hi everyone,

Here's a follow-up art tip on last week's tip about character height. I use these proportion guides for most characters but I have Poste as an example. The 7-head proportion guide is something commonly used by artists. I remember learning this from a book about drawing fantasy characters back in high school. I've got an important update to start with today.

Art Tip: Varying Height

Hi everyone.

Someone asked for some tips essentially about varying body types among characters. First thing to get familiar with is changes in proportions with varying height. You can't draw a character and then scale them down to make them shorter, because then they are just smaller not shorter. The proportions of Del for example are not the same as Ivy because she is much shorter even though they have somewhat similar curves. That's because Del is 6.5 heads tall proportionally while I...
