September 15 Update

Hi Everyone.

Not much to report today.

I have two of the three artworks for this week nearly ready. I'll have previews tomorrow.

Sometime next week I'll post the October Tsunade Poll. I need to come up with some ideas for options.

Art Tip: Simplify Arm Shading

Happy Art Tip Tuesday everyone.

Here's a tip on shading arms.

I find that thinking of complex anatomical forms as simple cubic forms help when laying in shadows. This is more for the early steps of an artwork. You can keep the shadows blocky, but I usually end up blending away the hard edges to make the forms more round when I start the rendering phase.

Art Notes: Arms 2: Forearms

Happy Monday everyone.

Here's some notes on forearms with a fun little example. Forearms are tricky, but being aware of how the bones and muscles move the arms and hands can take figure drawings up a notch.

I think I'd like to start posting art notes/tips on Tuesday starting next week. That way I can call it "Art Tip Tuesday" and so that there is a wider gap between regular updates. So we'll have an update on Monday, then Art Tips on Tuesday starting next week.

It's Tuesday, so I've got a few updates.

Animation: Ivy Vibe

Hi everyone,

I finished the Ivy vibrator animation last night, so here it is. Let me know what you think of the finished loop.

Fun fact about this animation: it is actually animated as 4 separate parts overlayed on top of each other. The 4 parts are: the head in the back, the body in front of the head, the vibrator and hand in front of the body, and the text in front of everything.
