Patch Delayed Potentially

All* the code rewrite is more or less done (albeit probably with some bugs and crashes, and lacking some of the kingdom unit management).  Crap is running smoother and with less wonkiness than ever before.

We're going to see about adding in the Ser Knight appearance changing based on equipment, ideally today or tomorrow, as part of the first half of the dress-up and animation engine.  If this first half doesn't turn out to be doable we'll simply release the patch for the other stuff....

This version marks the release of the first of our mod tools, called the Conversation Designer.  With it conversation mods can be created and loaded into the game, allowing for additional screwing around.

Also note that the enable cheats cheat has been changed for August. 

Work on Knight Princess otherwise continues.  Still waiting on some writing and art assets.

Charge Up Front

 Hey folks, we've decided to switch up the way the system works to a pay upfront system for utility and ease. This will allow us to post cheats as patreon posts rather than messages, and will also grant you and newer patrons greater flexibility in when and where they pay their money, allowing them to pay at the time best for them, and not just at the beginning of each month.

Future Content and Placeholdering

Yo, Duke here.

While we wait on art and writing a thought struck me.  The entirety of the delay is waiting on those last few assets, but they're not needed to actually play through the bits of Peasant Princess' quest.  It's more or less functional as is.

Would you prefer to have patches sooner, but more broken and missing art/writing/challenge, or would you prefer to have the occasional (:D) delay and get a kind-of polished additions?

Patch 0.120 Delayed

Hey,

We have just a handful of art assets and some  writing remaining before Boy Princess can be added to the game.   Otherwise, this patch will also include a number of improvements, bug fixes, and a continuation to Human Princess' quest (fully functional and ready) that allows the player to gain territory in High Forest, a title, and reward.  Gone is the Demo Over screen.  More on that soon.

This content patch adds the Kobold King Audience and two minor parts of Kobold Princess' quest to the game.  The rest of her quest should be going in before the end of this month, which will bring Ser Knight to having his own territory and Kobold Princess ruling over the kobold kingdom.  We're farther ahead than this, but we're missing a lot of finalized art assets.

Hey,

We're waiting on a few last minute sprites before the patch is ready.  This upcoming patch fixes a lot of things, and adds more content to Kobold Princess' quest.  I plan on patching the game tomorrow- and then ideally a week or so after that we'll be able to release the rest of Kobold Princess' quest and have her finished 100%.

A lot more of the Kobold Princess segment is written already, we're just missing a lot of sprites.  With the addition of two (maybe THREE) more artists this should quickly be addressed and fixed up.

Patch 0.111 Later Today

Hey everyone.  Excellent news and bad news.

The bad news is that the patch will be delayed until later tonight, when we can get some missing sprites finished.

The excellent news is that we have added TWO (whole) new artists to the team.  There will be a bit of a learning curve as they learn to copy the style, but after that we should be able to crank out art assets a lot faster.  I'll be sure to let you know how this goes as the project moves forward.  Good things upc...

Finally.  Be warned that the 'major changes' for this version are actually pretty major, so crashes are pretty likely.  Wasn't able to fit in much testing this time.

The dungeon minimap has been replaced with a prettier looking, somewhat hand-drawn map. Gone are the days of grid-based, identical square rooms.
