Mid-month update!

I submitted a flash fiction piece in the NYC Midnight Flash Fiction competition this past weekend and it was super fun! The competition is basically set up like a tournament, as authors' works are placed into groups and judged, with the highest-scoring pieces moving forward to subsequent rounds!

NarraScope Trip Recap

NarraScope, hosted by MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, last weekend, was SPECKTACULAR!

Highlights, in no particular order!

Meeting the CoG Staff, including Jason, Mary, Rebecca, and Dan! I was able to get to know them better and learn more about their projects and the company itself. And they very generously bought us dinner, ice cream, and beer!

My lightened load

Well it looks like my "Patreon pivot" (to use some delightfully obnoxious business jargon) is wrapping up. There are still about a dozen people who haven't switched over to the $1 Tier or contacted me, but I can only do so much. I'll try to email them personally and I'll remind everyone about the "pivot" at least once more before I publish any stories.

Deciding how to move forward - please share your thoughts

So there are still two weeks left before the one-month "freeze" ends, which gives me time to figure out how, or whether, to move forward.

Personal/family situation - pausing page

I feel like I owe you awesome folks a heads up as to why I am pausing my page today. 

A family situation has taken a turn for the worse, one that I need to devote more attention to immediately. Update on Talon City

The game has been totally reworked from last year. The plan is for me to post the first few chapters here in June for Booksmart + patrons to play.

Talon City Chapter Images (Poll)

I stealth worked on Talon City some this winter and plan to have it submitted to Hosted Games late this summer. Don't worry, this won't hamper my progress on CCH3 as my priority is providing larger CCH3 updates each month!

Feeling momentum!

I am feeling very enthusiastic about diving into Part 3 this weekend! Part of the credit goes to Karl Sia, who I am 100% sure is going to put together an awesome promotional image that will likely morph into the CCH3 cover. It won't be ready for a while, but when is it, you folks will be the FIRST to see it, promise!

Short delay on CCH3 link

Because of some work and family issues, I'm running behind on the promised link. Instead of it being tonight, it will be next Sunday. 

I apologize for the delay, but I really want to provide a sizable amount of new content, and I'm not there yet.

A busy March!

My newest blog post re: my writing income for 2018

I'm going to try to dig a little deeper with my blog posts in 2019, diving deeper into different topics that I hope you'll find interesting. I think monthly "deep dive" is a realistic goal.

A Quiet December...Shhhhhh...

December will be quiet here. I'm tossing up the next RPG sheet poll in a few minutes, but other than that, I'm focusing on working behind the scenes on a lot of stuff.

Any beta readers for Talon City?

I've been working on this conventional novel off and on this year, and frankly progress is soooo much easier to make as opposed to IF projects. I really think I could get the draft finished this winter, even while still working on Starstreakers! and CCH3. 

When I say it's easier to make progress, I mean I can write a chapter of Talon City once in a while during lunch. I just can't do that with my IF projects.

I could use a couple of beta readers for a Mega Cat flash fiction story

I'm not ready to post this one publicly yet, but I'd love to have a couple of beta readers to check out the draft. 

I wrote a Mega Cat flash fiction story (only 1200 words) that I want to eventually publish with my other CCH short stories. My 'real life' writing group has suggested some improvements, but now I'd really like to get some feedback from people who know more about the Speckverse.

Short CCH3 Demo Up!

It's a start!

In full disclosure, it's still short (approx. 5,000 words, not including character creation) and wide, but my plan is to post an update every 30-60 days, as my schedule allows. With working on StarStreakers!, I just can't promise an monthly CCH update, so I won't make that promise.
