Do you remember when we made snow angels?
In that little park with the gazebo.
Our fingertips touching with each flap of our arms.
Let's hold hands like those angels did.
And get lost in the snow.
In that little park with the gazebo.
Our fingertips touching with each flap of our arms.
Let's hold hands like those angels did.
And get lost in the snow.

Let's look out over the world covered in snow.
See the city turned white
Pretend it's our Kingdom as we hold hands in silence

When we were young. Hand in hand as we walked by the pond.
I still think of you every time I pass
I wish I'd held on tighter
We finally have a break... and you want to change your plea?

And Mr. Collins.
2022-11-24 19:00:05 +0000 UTC View PostWell, we've finished the 154 sonnets of Shakespeare. And the question is, what should we do next. There are plenty of other out of copywrite poems out there, Yates, Keats, Byron even? Or perhaps a selection of soliloquys from Shakespeare for a bit if we want to keep the bard theme going?

Jane visits London and is upset to find Lizzy was correct...
2022-11-10 19:59:01 +0000 UTC View PostIn the final four sonnets, Shakespeare finally takes some blame onto himself for his feelings towards the Dark Lady and pontificates on an old legend about Cupid.
As this is the end of the Sonnets and runs much shorter than usual, I've found and included an old recording of myself reading sonnets 17, 18, 75 and 87 from when I was in my early twenties!

I'm that stained old mug. The one we bought when we first moved in.
I hadn't asked for it. But you knew I needed it.
That's one of the many reasons I love you so
We're hungover, but finally we've got a break. But why did you hide it from me?

We sat in silence.
Finishing the tea we shared.
Your hand in mine.
Soaking in the things we'd seen.
The way we used to write.
Scented paper and cursive handwriting
My love inscribed into every word
In which Jane receives a distressing letter...
